- Teresa (10/5): Wine Doen - Peace and tranquility, as always our stay didn't disappoint. The lodge was spotless and surrounded by beautiful scenery. Lovely quiet village with a local pub serving delicious food. It would be nice to have a few more coat hangers š
- Graeme (10/5): -
- Laura (10/5): -
- Angela (10/5): Stunning location - Absolutely outstanding accommodation. Perfect beautiful peaceful location. Can't describe how stunning lodge is. Only complaint is, we didn't stay long enough! This was a short break for my Husbands birthday.
- David (10/5): Great location with everything we could possibly need. - Beautiful inside.Great facilities. Nothing
- Samantha (10/5): Fabulous. - The most beautiful lodge weāve ever stayed in. Flawlessly clean and they catered for everything. Amazingly built with lovely decor. Even down to the curtains and furniture, everything was lovely. Will definitely be returning and recommending to friends and family! Nothing, everything was perfect.
- Michelle (8/5): A wonderfully relaxing stay. - This is our third stay and weāve provisionally booked for next year. We love the location and the facilities. The weather was inconsistent this year, and a canopy for the hot tub would be ideal. Also, there could be better lighting outside. The twinkly lights have never fully been working in the last 3 years.
- Michelle (10/5): Amazing .. very relaxing and just perfect. - Everything very private and stunning views Nothing
- Rachel (10/5): A great family getaway - Fantastic lodge with amazing views. Welcoming hosts very friendly. Great location for families with young children
- Constance (10/5): - Lodge was brilliant and location was amazing Nothing
- Sandra (6/5): Quit peaceful as I wanted. Except for the fact that I was charged way more for the lodge I stayed in. - Location, the privacy and the beautiful views, so picturesque What I didnāt like is that booking.com charged me more money for a lodge that I shouldnāt have paid as much!
I paid £220 a night and stayed in the lodge that was £180 a night
- Alana (10/5): -
- Nasreen (10/5): Had a lovely break which I needed - Nice and clean and catered for all our needs š There was nothing to not like about it
- Jo (10/5): Fabulous! - A fabulous location. The property had everything we needed. A short walk to a lovely pub. Would definitely recommend. Nothing
- Rachel (10/5): Beautiful, peaceful and fabulous! - It was a beautiful, well equipped lodge in a beautiful setting! So peaceful and private! Also very clean!! Loved every minute! The only thing I can think of is the shower was leaking so when you tried to use it trickled out and spurted out around the shower head. Other than that though everything was perfect!! Will definitely be coming back!
- Colin (10/5): -
- Nasreen (10/5): Nice and quiet away a much needed break - It was clean and welcoming I liked it they it was there was nothing to dislike
- Diane (10/5): -
- Norma (10/5): Perfection - We loved the peaceful location. Golden fields teeming with nature. It was so tranquil and restorative. The lodge itself had everything we needed and more. It was the perfect escape for our family. We were sorry when our week there ended.

- Kim (7/5): A lovely stay for steak night. - It was a lovely property and was very clean, and there was a lovely view to the front. It was a lovely touch to provide a bottle of prosecco and milk (particularly as there were no shops). The food at the pub was delicious, compliments to their excellent chef. The barn next to the chalets was left open and actually made it a little scruffy and noisy. I also was disappointed that we were forced to pay for two nights stay mid-week (I could understand this if it were a weekend) just because we had a well behaved dog with us. We were doing the C2C on bikes to raise money for cancer research and staying one night there once you added the cost of dinner and breakfast cost 2 adults and a child £400.
- Muhammad (10/5): Exceptional -
- Richard (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marian (10/5): Accessible property details - Lovely, peaceful and tranquil breakaway with the dogs. Our 3rd time and we are never disappointed.
It is fairly accessible for anyone who is ambient disabled like myself. There are handrails and treads going up to the front door which is fairly steep for a manual wheelchair. However once inside, everything is accessible with the one bedroom cabin having a shower cubicle rather than over the bath. I managed using the shower but if staying longer than 3 nights would have brought my bathing compressor chair.
Supermarket delivery went smoothly as usual and the freezer has plenty of room. Full kitchen but I missed my air fryer š, just ease for me with my disability issues and brought our own coffee maker which was lovely to have sat on the decking area.
Hot tub was lovely and clean as usual and there are sturdy steps and my husband helped me in and out. Heat was great on my aches and pains.
Our two dogs didn't want to leave either š„° Nothing at all
- Sue (10/5): The perfect get away, to recharge the batteries. Even better because there are only 3 lodges on site - great food at the pub ,we had lunch on arrival day ,and breakfast before leaving-superb!
The location is stunning, quiet ,as well as beautiful, and everything provided is high quality-they thought of everything. We plan to return as soon as we can. NOTHING!!!
- Amie (9/5): Enjoyable ! - Everything ! Home from home, lovely & clean , and great. Views The fact you donāt get a full 48 hours , from check in the Friday to check out the Sunday. I feel because of the price ( which we donāt mind playing ) because itās a nice place , I just feel it should be 48 hours. For sample , if you have to check out by 11am the Sunday, you should be able to check in 11am the Friday.
- Lee (10/5): Exceptional -

- Norma (10/5): Wonderful Wolds Away - We loved everything about Wolds Away from the minute we arrived. The lodge was inviting, comfortable and stylish. It contained everything we needed for a wonderful weekend with family. And the hot tub was a great hit with everyone. We had a lovely afternoon at the local on the first day. Wood fired pizza a delight. The next evening meal was at the pub restaurant and was delicious. Lovely friendly staff too.
We made friends with Nellie the pony and enjoyed listening to birdsong every morning on the terrace with a cuppa. Loved every second ā¤ļø The only thing we didn't like was leaving Wolds Away.
- Jackie (10/5): A wonderful weekend away in idyllic surroundings - The lodge was amazing with unbelievable views across totally open countryside. The animals were gorgeous as well! We had a lovely meal at the Wolds Inn, the food was fantastic and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. We would highly recommend a stay here.

- Teresa (10/5): Wolds Away - escape to the countryside. - Our 4th stay in Wine Down, we absolutely love it here, it truly is like home from home. As soon as you open the door, you feel relaxed. Gorgeous views from the lodge, excellent accommodation, very spacious and has everything you need, spotless. Perfect place to spend chilled days taking in the views. Everything was perfect.
- Abi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Godfrey (10/5): Exceptional - FAntastic lodge, with its own hot tub. Very private with amazing views of the Yorkshire countryside. Lovely walks and a great pub in the village. Exceptionally well appointed and a gas BBQ on the decking. What more could we ask for?
- David (10/5): Relaxing, fantastic treat, would return - Gorgeous location, everything you need, immaculate inside (love the hoover lines)
added gestures, milk, tea and coffee and prosecco and little things, like bin bags and clothes/tea towels that I always have to travel with, be fantastic if everywhere did this. Was really appreciated. It is not a problem but slightly confusing on arrival with the three lodges being together; the owners did get back to me immediately but, I know the delivery drivers did say they struggled with signal - perhaps a booking first name or nickname on the lodge so we can figure out which one is booked for guests.
- Christine (10/5): Total recharge - Everything was simply amazing. Cannot fault one thing N/a
- Sonya (7/5): Lovely place, lovely lodge, lovely location, lovely stay. - Lovely location and view. No tumble dryer.
- Nicola (10/5): Fantastic - The peace the location the lodge it was all fabulous and I will be back

Iād definitely return š„° Nothing! Other than it was only for one night and I wish I could have stayed longer! If it wasnāt booked for someone else Iād of booked an extra night!
- Angela (10/5): Exceptional - The lodge was lovely proper home from home the prosecco was a nice treat in the fridge as the milk coffee etc and cleaning products hot tub was lovely Nothing
- Ewelina (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect place nice and clean with beautiful view
- Eszter (10/5): Fabulous stay - Absolutely beautiful property, great facilities, spotless rooms. One of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. The owners have left us a bottle of prosecco in the fridge which was a beautiful gesture. The location was a little bit hard to access due to flooding. Maybe a warning could be sent out for future guests. But I admit, it is kind of expected in a rural area.
- Yasmine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Raspin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kelly (10/5): Beautiful, peaceful and clean - Beautiful and so clean Nothing
- Frances (10/5): Comfortable, well equipped lodge in beautiful setting canāt ask for anything more - The property was well kept, clean and homely. The views from the raised decking was beautiful.
It was well positioned within walking distance to the local pub The Wolds Inn - highly recommended also. There is nothing to dislike about the property but the TV control in the lounge was not working how it should!
- Nina (9/5): Superb - Roomy, beautiful views, superb set up. Nothing we didnāt like - our stay was absolutely wonderful. Our only suggestion would be to perhaps consider adding a little coffee machine so people can bring their own pods for a morning latte.
- Katie (10/5): wow!!! - absolutely fantastic.
beautiful setting and stunning accommodation.
we had such a wonderful time, we canāt wait to come back again.
even the little touches; milk and bubbly in the fridge, towels, robes, all cleaning products made it even better.
we couldnāt get over how homely it felt. when we walked through the front door, the table lamps and fire was on. it made us feel right at home.

- Francesca (10/5): Exceptional - The views were stunning Nothing all perfect
- Kellie (10/5): Fantastic idyllic stay - We have enjoyed every minute of the wolds lodge. It has been the ONLY setting we have visited that mirrors the photographs and previous reviews. We stayed two nights and didn't want to leave, the scenery the idyllic location and of course the hot tub were only some of the main attractions. The lodge itself was a home from home, immaculately clean and inviting. We will definitely be back, the attention to detail and unwavering customer satisfaction is an element other professionals within this industry could take heed of.
- Lucy (10/5): We love it so much this was our third stay and we are returning with our baby for our first break as a family next year! - Everything, so relaxed and the beds are sooo comfy Whatās not to like?!
- Anonymous (10/5): It was an enjoyable stay for both of us will return in future - The property catered for all our needs

- Heidi (10/5): Relaxing, we will be back! - Beautiful location, nice extra touches, everything was just perfect! There was nothing we didn't like.
- Olivia (10/5): Amazing. - We had such a lovely weekend here for my Husbands birthday, everything was just perfect, the lodge, the location, the views, AMAZING! The village itself is just so wholesome and peaceful. The village pub is a 5 minute walk away, the food here was lovely, as were the couple of staff we spoke to. We also called in at 'Rachel's Walnut Cottage Tea Room' just around the corner (again, a few minutes walk away) which was a cute little place!
I already miss the place and would definitely stay here again, and would 100% recommend to others x Absolutely nothing not to like!
- Maria (10/5): Exceptional -
- Charlene (10/5): Out of this world, luxury retreat, perfect 10 out of 10 - Everything, not one fault.
Prosecco on arrival was such a lovely touch after the 7 hour drive we had.
Stunning vļæ¼iews, amazing hot tub and just out of this world. Nothing it was perfect
- Teresa (9/5): Huggate - Lovely location, overlooking stunning countryside. This is our 3rd stay here. Great space for 2 people and a flattie. The neighbours are very welcoming and the local pu, which we believe is owned by Vickie is great too, dog friendly and serving lovely local food. Unfortunately on this occasion the lodge wasn't 100% clean, we've stayed on numerous occasions and have never had an issue. Certain things were overlooked but we sorted them out ourselves. Normally the lodge has been maticulously clean, therefore this was hopefully a blip, and won't put us of our stay.
I know it is self-catering but sometimes it's nice to have a text or check in from the owners just to say hello and to ensure all is alright.
