Guest Reviews
- Grace (8/5): - It's a unique, sunny flat with unobstructed ocean views and a lovely sun room seating area. Wifi was strong. On foggy days the nearby foghorn at the lighthouse will sound and could disrupt sleep-- it sounded in the middle of the night and early morning during my stay. Property management was too slow to respond to two issues that arose during my stay, though check-in was smooth. The phone number provided on Expedia was not on WhatsApp even though I specifically asked about this at the start of my stay. (Tourists on e-sims rely on data/wifi only, so a data-based communication option should be offered.) I enjoyed the flat thoroughly and wish the communication issues didn't add an asterisk to the experience.
- Akin (10/5): Quirky place, safe and accessible. - It was a quirky place at a good location on Beach Road, with a good view of the sea.
No lifts and we were on the 2nd floor, the electrics conked out, but we eventually resolved the issue after a bit of back and forth with the property managers.
The washer/dryer was in the bathroom connected via an extension from the bedroom.
We only connected this when the device was in use.
There is no television in the apartment and living room area is more like a dining area, not a particularly liveable space for long periods of time. Good Internet Wi-Fi.
Most of our suitcases we could not unpack for the lack of sufficient wardrobe space, just as the fridge was small and the freezer even smaller.
For the 10 days we were there, it was comfortable, accessible, about 30 minutes walk to the V&A Waterfront.
We'll return for short holidays, not for longer breaks.
Some of the cupboards are in need of upkeep and maintenance.
If we owned this place, we'll make better use of the space by gutting it, removing the walls, and modernising the place.
Yes, the light switch to the living room and kitchen was in the recess between the fridge and the retaining wall.
A puzzle of a place for anyone.
