We had a one bedroom suite with two queens with plenty of room and a sofa sleeper.Its a nice area and you can walk to shopping, a casino and a few restaurants. You can also take a path to walk around the lake.. The only minor issues are the walls seem to be a bit thin as we could hear the people next to us talking, and I’m not a big fan of a tub shower with shower curtain otherwise it’s a beautiful hotel.

We were here for a graduation and had to cook, however after booking we realized there’s no oven in our room. These guys helped us solve our problem and while sitting here at breakfast, the love and kindness Ty and tala spread throughout the dining room was amazing! Thank you for being so welcoming and kind. Will forever remember this gem in Reno and will never go anywhere else when visiting.
johnrV8534ZT (2/5): Marriott Residence Inn Sparks Nevada Bed Bugg incident. - Stayed in a 2 BR at Marriott Residence Inn in Sparks Nevada in April 2025, that initially was quoted at $429 a night, (later bumped up to over $635 a night) for a 4 day stay. After 3 days, I was eaten up by BED BUGS!! I reported it to the manager, in person, and took photos of my legs in the managers office. She apologized and opened a "report", and I would be notified of the results. I checked out that morning, and was assured I would not be billed for the next night as I was checking out before 11:00AM. Later that day, I found they had billed me for the night$488. I called, they agreed to refund the $488 but "it would take a few days".. I waited a few weeks for the "report" from Marriott, and it never came. I called and was told the manager "forgot" to send it. In the report they said they have "no bed bugs" and they are not responsible. I then called customer Marriott Bonvoy service who acted like it was horrible how I was treated and asked me to forward the photos taken at the Marriott office when I checked out. I waited, no call back after 10 days so I called again. This time they said the hotel is (again) not taking responsibility for the incident. Being a Marriott Rewards and Bonvoy member for 30+ years meant nothing. I will cut up my cards and never stay at a Marriott again. I will be posting this on every travel app I can find. FAFO

AMLAN (10/5): - Stayed here with my family, including kids and an infant. The hotel is in a great location, just a 10–15 minute drive from downtown Reno. There's a casino nearby and plenty of shops and eateries in the area. A beautiful lake sits behind the hotel, and the view from our room was fantastic. The room was clean, and both the housekeeping and front desk service were excellent. The complimentary breakfast was the icing on the cake. Highly recommended - we will definitely visit again!

Jensen (2/5): Bad experience-go somewhere else - na It was a very noisy and dark room. I was supposed to get downstairs room and they put me upstairs. After telling them I wanted 1st floor they put me in a room with disability bathroom, meaning water went all over the floor every time I showered. The furniture had no support and was obviously very old. Everytime someone shut their door, I jumped it was so loud and the voices from other people were very loud. No I would never recommend this place to anyone. And it was expensive.

The bathroom had hair all over and we ran out of tissue and called for more but it never came so we had to go buy some. RickyBobbie (6/5): Underwhelmed by front desk service - We stayed here for 5 nights using Bonvoy points. We asked for a high floor away from the elevator and were put in an accessible room on the 2nd floor, adjoining another room. Since one of us was recovering from major surgery, we decided to stay put. Even so, we had some issues with the room. The controls for the blinds and shades are needlessly complicated, operated by remote and by unlabeled wall switches. There was a standard bathtub in the bathroom, which didn't make the experience so accessible. (There was a bench and hand-held shower nozzle.) Lighting in the bathroom was very poor and water pressure was negligent. During the first several days, we couldn't get the water hot enough. There was hot water on the last 2 nights of our stay. The kitchen had a nice, modern look but was missing several items like any bowl or dish that could be used to cook things in the microwave, no ice tray or ice bucket, and the entire top drawer of the dishwasher was missing! There was no one in our adjoining room for the first half of the week and the room was quiet then. Later in the week when the adjoining room was occupied, we heard everything: alarm, phone, baby, dog, etc. The gym was nicely equipped and never crowded during out stay. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise. The staff made a point to say good morning every day, and the selection of healthy options was well above average for a Residence Inn. The location is next to an outlet mall and casino, and you can walk around the marina behind the hotel. What made us give 3 stars instead of 4 was our front desk experience. We worked from the room so had the "Do Not Disturb" sign up for our 5-day stay. The front desk called and said it was mandatory that they clean every 3 days. We declined, and they insisted. We said, send us documentation of this policy, and they dropped the request. At the end of our stay, they locked us out of the room. Check-out at this hotel is noon yet they disabled our key cards at 9:30. When we complained and got the cards rekeyed, the staff stated they didn't know why the "shut off" happened. We know hotels often disable cards close to check-out time, but this was 2 1/2 hours early.

Southwest_Gaucho (8/5): Nice stay off of I-80 - Overall the room was good, had hot water, breakfast was decent, and staff was nice. Bed was a little hard and bathroom fan ran on a humidity sensor? No way to turn it off it seemed. Was around a lot of shopping and restaurants and could be a bit difficult to find if you haven’t been there before. Lots of round abouts with multiple lanes to go through in the dark.

TuscanRider (6/5): A Marriott in need of help! - I will rate each category separately in order to clearly outline what was executed properly and those areas that need improvements. Its location is great, walking distance to numerous restaurants, shops, and the marina. Checking in was quick, friendly, and informative. The room was clean and well appointed. However, the A/C supply was not well placed, focusing all the cold air supply directly on the bed. The boxspring cover of the bed (photo herein included) was ridiculously worn out, bringing other things into question. While on the topic of the bed, definitely not to Marriott standards, it was hard, with a loud pop and squeaked and rattled every time you moved and turned. The complimentary breakfast we would rate as a 2 out of 5. They were out of numerous items 1hr into breakfast, with very few patrons. The manager was appreciative of our input, which we hope will lead to changes.

I paid for a 2 queen bed suite, when I arrived staff told me the room we booked AC was out. It was 100 degrees out and I have 3 young kids. We couldn’t stay in that room and instead got put in a king bed room with sofa bed at the same price still! Unbelievable!!!!

The hotel should have reserved a room for this “guaranteed” prepaid reservation. We were fortunate to find a room at the Hampton next door. We have always had good luck at the Hampton on our annual visit and again it was perfect.

The hotel itself is well-maintained and offers all the amenities I need for a comfortable visit. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the customer care here is truly top tier. Highly recommend!

There are also a lot of shopping opportunities close to the hotel. There is easy access to the interstate making for a quick drive to Reno.

We came to do ski and this location is still a bit too far to the ski resorts. But the value of the place is great - I have nothing yo complain.

Trim on the walls falling off, LED lights not working, doors do not get wiped down, show heads are not cleaned, security on the property is nonexistent, thefts are such a common occurrence they give you a card saying so. I was robbed for over $6000 worth of property and they have zero security cameras for law enforcement to view.

No noise from upstairs or next door rooms. Price was ok but would look elsewhere next time to save some money. Got a good night sleep and easy to get back the road early the next morning. Left too early to try breakfast.

When we arrived we were informed that one top of an already elevated price we would be required to pay a nonrefundable pet fee of $175.00! That's insane; the old 'bait and switch'!! I intentionally put a special note in my original booking that we were 2 adults and 1 pet. I received a response to that 'special request' that they were able to accommodate us and that there would be 'no additional expense' for my notification. However, when I arrived I was informed of the "Special Pet Policy". I will go out of my way to NOT book through Booking.com and I will never stay in a Marriott property again!

Robert (4/5): Poor service/unsecured wi-fi/very poor cell svc - The stay started with the reception staff telling me my card didn’t bill and I needed to contact hotels.com. I contacted hotels.com via chat and the representative immediately resolved the situation. When I spoke to the reception staff she told me the hotel attempted to overcharge my card by a small amount. She clearly knew what was happening and specifically chose to inconvenience me. Poor experience! The hotel wi-do is “open” and unprotected. They offer a paid wi-fi that’s protected called “premium” The room I was given overlooked the roof and was next to the elevator and service closet. I’m not really sure what I did to get such poor service from the staff but suffice it to say for over $200 this was clearly NOT worth the cost! Highly recommended you do NOT stay at this hotel. Super bummed since a big reason I chose this hotel was the 9.2 rating from customer reviews…

Love that this is conveniently situated near the beautiful Sparks Marina and the Legends shopping center. The facility is well maintained, and the rooms are spacious and clean. But what I appreciate most about Residence Inn Reno Sparks is the fact that they have one of the most helpful and friendliest staff. The customer care I consistently receive there is always top notch, and it's the main reason I happily choose it whenever I'm out in Reno. Shout out to Becky, Alex, Chet, Ela and Luis! T6856CGjaredl (2/5): Card system needs work - Their system is absolutely horrendous. Several others including myself are being told “Card has been Declined” they’re reasoning is insufficient funds yet that isn’t the case and implying that we don’t have money is rude making me not want to book with Marriott again.
