- Sarah Wynne (10/5): A great base while working nearby - Location was great for us while working at the theatre. The accommodation was clean, recently renovated and had utilities.
- Karen (4/5): Sadly not up to standard in winter. - The beds were comfortable.
The heating worked and it was warm. We had difficulty contacting horizon on arrival when all the smoke alarms were beeping.
The place obviously wasn't prepared for a stay in January, maybe someone had been living there before we arrived. There was lots of rubbish and Amazon packages in the back yard.
The Internet didn't work - although this was resolved. My daughter was working whilst away and we had specifically chosen somewhere with internet access.
The blind in the main bedroom was missing a quarter of the slats. This was not resolved and we had to borrow a sheet from relatives in the area to cover the window.
There were too few crockery and cutlery items when we arrived - again this was resolved.
The furniture looks okay but is generally of poor quality and quite flimsy.
We had a disappointing experience.
Hopefully if someone hires this place in Winter in future it will be checked out first .
I think if the owner had checked it out before our stay a lot of our problems could have been avoided.
