• Enrico (8/5): un ramo manzoniano d'amore - La posizione è veramente invidiabile: siamo a 1 minuto dalla stazione ferroviaria Como Lago (una stazione secondaria) e da un capolinea dei bus. Inoltre pochi passi dal lago e dai traghetti . . . La mansarda dove ho alloggiato, appena si entra si capisce di stare in un palazzo storico (vi è un affresco all'entrata sulla volta) Prezzo molto onesto e il padrone Carlo, una persona squisita e in grado di fornirvi dei suggerimenti utili per la visita al lago e alla città. Se devo trovare punti negativi, magari per chi sta in mansarda ed è di alta statura, potrebbe avere qualche problema con i travi di legno. Il bagno non è vicinissimo alla stanza da letto.

The host was kind and courteous. We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. It was very convenient and big enough for all of us. Thank you

The ceilings are very low in places. - Host met us, showed us around the apartment We hadn’t appreciated that being at the top of the building meant that the ceilings were very very low in places. I am only 5ft 3 and struggled to stand up in the bathroom, shower and kitchen. My husband who is 6ft struggles even more. It’s a shame because everything else about the apartment was great.
• Mohammed (5/5): I just wanted to thank the owner, he was very kind and helpful - The location, it’s close to the center and the lake. The apartment is clean. The owner was very helpful The apartment has no A/C and the weather was hot. It’s little bit scary because the entrance was little weird ,the lift is very small and you should use a key to start working. I didn’t like the pictures hanged on the walls .

• Turner (6/5): Great location, nice host, weird ceiling! - Location was perfect. Corner bar across from door was so amazing. The owner of the bar helped us every day, he recommended restaurants and would call and make the reservations for us. We went there everyday for a spritz. The corner coffee shop just past the bar was a Sicilian bakery /coffee was really good. The host of the room was very nice, and explained every thing well. If you are a family and need lots of room this is great! This is an apartment with NO windows! Only sky lights. No way out if there was a fire but back down the staircase! The skylights are Big and let in lots of light! But the ceiling are so low you hit your head and I am 5’5” and there are very large wood beam running through the hole place, that are lower than the ceiling causing you to walk bent over in every room. Big beam in bathroom and you can’t stand up to brush your teeth. The couch is so worn out you can’t sit on it. Seriously needs to update couch, and the cover on the bed was old? Buy a new one. Or none just two top sheets with a down blanket! The dishes cause the microwave to spark??? The whole place is odd. But clean! And has a washer, ironing board, clothes rack, big place, and nice kitchen. Needs better lighting in stairwell, it’s three flights up! Great location. Really nice host.
• N (9/5): Delightful apartment close to all the action in Como. - Great apartment. Very close to the central area around Como town. 2 mins walk to the nearest grocery store. Very helpful host Carlo. The apartment is well-stocked with utensils, equipment and great Italian coffee. We knew about the height drops it being in the attic. But unless you're really tall it's largely fine. The solitary head bump happens while brushing one's teeth.

• Mateusz (7/5): Great location near the port, but uncomfortably low ceiling in the attic apartment. - Great location with ferry port, bus station, and grocery store nearby. Very low ceiling in most of the rooms of the attic apartment, you have to be very careful not to hit your head in the kitchen and bathroom.
• Hazel (7/5): a few things to beware of - The apartment is in an excellent location for Como Lago railway station and the lake piers. There are good, local restaurants nearby. The apartment is a good size, clean and came with complimentary wine, coffee and water. The bed was comfortable so I guess it is new since the older reviews were written. The apartment is in the attic, on the third floor. There is a tiny lift, for two 'friends' or one person with small luggage, but it only goes to the second floor so you cannot escape the stairs. Being in the attic means head height is compromised plus, it is an old building with exposed beams at head height. You will bang your head. The attic nature also means the shower is barely tall enough to stand in. But finally, the thing we didn't like the most - there are no windows, only skylights. It's surprising how this makes the space uncomfortable.

• Gracie26 (7/5): Great location - Great apartment in the heart of Como. 2 mins walk to the water. Very friendly host with flexible check-in. Comfy bed and facilities to cook. The towels were like blankets and the very low ceilings had us hitting our heads constantly. My partner couldn't stand in the shower.
• Gergely (9/5): Superb - The accommodation is absolutely ideal for a week or a longer stay - well equipped (indeed), clean and the air conditioning works well. Easy access, two minutes walk to the lake and for almost everything. The host is very friendly and helpful. Cold wine, water and coffee capsules are waiting for you upon arrival. Great value for money, recommended. The place is almost perfect, but you need to know about the ATTIC apartment: the ceiling height in a part of the apartment is LOW. If you are over approx. 170 cm, the kitchen and bathroom can be uncomfortable.

• Jocelyn (7/5): Good - Fantastic location, quiet, lots of shops, cafes, restaurants. Very close to all public transport and lake. Lovely big rooms and all amenities. Comfortable and enough seating and space for everyone. Owner was easy to contact and spoke excellent English. More explanation of how things worked and where extra bedding was would have been useful, and an upgrade to the electric sockets: old 3 pin and not euro sockets. More cutlery and crockery would have been good.
• Elizabeth (8/5): Small flat in central Como in a great, old building - We stayed in the top floor flat. Great location: just a block from the train station and right around the corner from the lake and ferry area. Kind, communicative host. There was a store right around the corner which was great for groceries and lots of food options around. The photos show two apartments in the building, a very large flat below the attic apartment so when I went into our flat (on the top) I didn’t realize it was all just one small room with one bed. The ceilings were slanted and as my partner and I are tall (5’8 and 6’1) we were constantly knocking our heads against the ceiling. Even the kitchen and bathroom had lower ceilings. The building is a very cool, old building but as it’s an old building the plugs were not the usual two prong, it was an old three prong - there was one adapter provided but charging our phones and devices was a bit tricky. Keep the charging in mind if you’re working from this place.

Spacious rooms Easy communication with owner Easy walking distance to central restaurants and facilities Mattresses were antiquated, and are not comfortable. Old style Italian bed linen ( sheet and blanket) only. Stairs. ( although the rate was an elevator, it was only large enough to take 2 suitcases)

• Karen (8/5): Charming apartment - Spacious apartment in a charming old compound dating back hundreds of years. There is a lift which makes it easy for the luggage. The apartment was getting a bit tired. The plumbing was not the best and the beds were uncomfortable.

• Roz (10/5): Brilliant location - This was a really spacious apartment for a group of 6 friends, and in a great location just a couple of minutes from Como Lago train station, close to the lake, old town, large supermarket and also near to a great range of restaurants. The host, Marco, was very helpful with recommendations of things to do and places to eat. The building is old and furnished to match this, however the huge lounge and all three bedrooms were all really comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. We liked the complimentary chilled bottle of wine on an arrival..a lovely touch, and my husband loved the craft beer bar across the road. Nothing at all

• Thomas (7/5): Good - The location is great just nearby the lake, the size of the appartment is really huge for a family of 6, there is a private underground car Park, the host is available, kind and supportive. We didn’t know that the underground private car park had to be paid extra (20eur per day). It was very hot when we stayed at Como, and the appartment doesn’t have A/C - only portable fans.
