Good communication and clear instructions from landlord.
Reasonably priced too for accommodation and looking forward to staying again sometime in the future.

- Tim (7/5): Good - Great location.
Clean with good kitchen and bathroom.
Easy communication and access to property The sofas and beds weren’t all that comfortable.
Back rooms (bedroom and sitting room) very cold compared to rest of property.
- Wj (8/5): Very good -
- Kirsty (10/5): - This was perfect little stay in Portrush, central to everything only a little walk to everything
- Nicola (9/5): Great apartment Comfortable and well equipped with all you need. Great location - Lovely little apartment, comfy and well equipped. Only neg was the small bed we aren’t used to it anymore but bed was comfy and only a personal opinion.
- Edward (1/5): Very uncomfortable with the smell of drugs . - The property and the location was fantastic, but the smell of drugs everyday (everyday) was horrible, in the mornings when I woke up sore head with the smell of hash I think coming under the door . I did complain and was told they would say something or get another place for a few days then come back mmm, I was playing pool for my country Scotland and would have been impossible to move . I did ask for compensation first the disgusting smell every day 7 days of it . And a couple of friends who popped in to see me could also smell it. Yours Edward mcvey . The property and location was 10.10
- Janet (9/5): Superb - Great location lovely place everything you needed Late check in
- Audrey (6/5): Had a good few days here - Good location and was clean. It was split level with steps down to bedroom and living room/dining room. Had a booklet and said about a BT control to watch sport couldn’t be found. Emailed through booking.com and I am still waiting on a reply back 5 days later. Shower hadn’t much power to it.
- Susan (10/5): Just an overnight for the air show so very ideal - Great location
Very nice lay out
Very clean
Ticked all the boxes N/A
- Shauna (9/5): Superb -
- Brighdin (9/5): Superb - I loved the homely feeling of the apartment, it had all the amenities that you would need. It was very clean and modern and it made you feel at ease. I would definitely come back again in the future. Lovely little apartment, loved the kitchen and the shower was very warm which I loved. The smell of someone smoking grass in the corridor outside the apartment very off putting. The TV wasn't too good at times kept flickering and loosing reception. The balcony area is under refurbishment but this should be updated when booking the property. The balcony was one of the reasons why I booked so was disappointed that you couldn't step out.
- Alison (9/5): Superb -
- Rebecca (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gareth (9/5): An ideal base for the north coast - Return visitor. Great location, nice property that’s ideal for our needs. Nothing, it’s ideal for us. It’s small but you know that.
- Roy (9/5): Superb -
- Aimee (9/5): Superb - The apartment had everything we could've asked for, toiletries, working heating, oven and wifi. The sofa pulled out into a sofa bed which was lovely to curl up in front of the TV at night. Also I cannot stress how huge and brilliant the shower was. The property was advertised as having a balcony, but there was a sign saying for us not to use it as there was "work" being done to it. The dining chairs were a bit wobbly and felt quite cheap.
- Margaret (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chloe (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect location
Clean
Easy check in and out
Had everything we could’ve needed
Perfect
- Kristy (6/5): Pleasant -
- Eimear (10/5): Exceptional -
- Karen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sue (5/5): Not memorable - Very scruffy entrance hall in state of disrepair
- Jay (8/5): A much needed two nights stay in a comfortable, cosy apartment. - The bed in particular was very comfortable and the whole apartment itself was clearly kept to a high standard, plus the interior itself was lovely and clean. We also appreciated the information booklet provided as it made our stay more convenient. The water pressure of the shower wasn't quite to our liking.
- Adamirish (10/5): Exceptional -
- Pat (9/5): Superb -
- Annette (6/5): Wouldnt stay here again - The building The Wee Snug is located in looked terrible from the outside when we arrived and once through the buildings front door our hopes were dashed. The entrance foyer is terrible. There was an electric system alarm going off ( There were instructions how to stop the alarm but it didn't work, another person living in the building said he was contacting the owner and I msgd them too- no response and the alarm was still going when we left the following morning). We eventually found our apartment which didn't have the same name as I was given in the check in email. The WeeSnug itself has potential and is nicely decorated and clean. The little details let it down. No soft bath towels, the towels were not at all soft, in fact they were hard and scratchy. Bed was just okay and it is double in size. The kitchen and the bathroom had the basics. It was nice having a dining room though
Overall i would not stay there again. The positives didn’t outweigh the negatives.
- Gillian (6/5): Just ok - Lock box was not very visible I had to ask for directions to the property.
The hallway to the apartment obviously getting work done but not very inviting. The apartment was very clean and lovely decorated but when we entered the apartment at 4pm is was absolutely freezing to the point where my children where actually shivering.
We only warmed up when out for dinner.
Check out is 9am. A very short turnaround to check in at 4pm and out at 9am.
We did ask for later check out but were declined as quests coming in after us.
But when I put into the app to book again it was free!!!!
The outside space was not available as it did not appear safe red tape on stairs.
- Alex (10/5): Exceptional -
- Irene (8/5): Great location , good value for money - Not applicable - self catering Plaster Work going on in hall and stairway outside apartment
Poor hot water supply in kitchen - bathroom better
Shame about patio -needs some work .
Cute wee apartment all the same
- Jason (10/5): Exceptional - Great location, lovely apartment, has all what you need for a Stay away. Had an amazing weekend away with my partner.
- Darrell (10/5): Excellent - Everything was perfect very nice indeed would highly recommend and would stay again
- Geoffrey (5/5): Passable - Dog friendly and close to bars and restaurants.
Basic supplies tea-bags salt etc provided.
Bedroom was warm and bed comfy. The balcony was disappointing. It was the roof of a ground floor extention with a fence around it. It wouldn't have been attractive even in summer. The living area was cold. The radiator isn't big enough. The apartment was cold on arrival. We gave an ETA. The heating should have been turned on in advance.
- Jacqueline (8/5): Really enjoyed our stay - Great location. Lovely apartment. The stairs were steep and small
- Eleanor (9/5): Superb - Property was very comfortable for me and my wee dog excellent location very handy to everything all the essential equipment was in the property for cooking washing but as I was only staying a couple of nights it was easier to eat out a very comfortable bed I slept soundly There is work going on at the property in the entrance hall it doesn't make good for first impression I also found the balcony my wee dog went out on to is in badly need of repair I usually take a couple of weeks up in the summer to Portrush and the balcony would put me of booking the wee snug at that time of year as you couldn't sit outside
- Ciaran (5/5): Disappointed, we used to love this spot - Central to the town,
Close to the beach. Have stayed here twice before years ago (when it looked like the pictures) now it's very different...had to wait half an hour outside the property before the owners eventually gave us the access code to get in,they didn't even know we were booked to stay...when we got in we were met with a tired looking apartment, carpet stains and burns, bathroom mirror lights don't work, the table in the living room has cigarette burns and chips out of it, the balcony is in a bad state of disrepair, there is damp damage on the living room wall and the apartment smells of damp, this is probably why it takes so long for the heating to warm the place up .the window blind in the hallway was torn and the kitchen one was broken...fixed it myself so we could close it for more privacy...it's sad it's so run down looking as this was a great wee apartment before.
- Tim (3/5): Overpriced property leaving us disappointed & misled. - Location, Kitchen & Bathroom This property is totally over priced. When you arrive the hallway is shrouded on one side (Looked like damp?)which is pretty disconcerting. The "balcony" is a waterlogged rundown area with a damaged & frankly dangerous staircase running from it. It is covered in hazard tape (see attatched photo)To be clear this is in no way a balcony in any sense of the word & not suitable for sunbathing/relaxing/al freso dining. The description is totally misleading.
The lounge is a cold vinyl floored room & is in no way "Snug". The photographs on Booking.com uses lots of props ie pictures/rugs/cushions that are missing when you stay.
Our feeling was that the reality in no way reflected the impression that the owners are trying to convey about this property on the website.
We would have liked a refund of some sort but this seems to have been totally ignored by both Booking.com & the Owners.
- Gareth (9/5): Another nice stay at the Wee Snug - Nice property, stayed here before and would again. Ideal location for us. No issues. Work being done in the property but no major inconvenience.
- Sarah (8/5): Very good -
- Margaret (9/5): Location Location Location! - Great location across from the beach, walking distance to restaurants and pubs. It’s an apartment, so there’s plenty of room. There was some work being done on the building, but obviously that’s temporary. Bed could have been a bit more comfortable.
- Robert (10/5): Outstanding - Everything, great location, spacious, great shower. 11/10 overall Nothing
- Pamela (9/5): Superb - Close to main street, had all amenities you needed, dog friendly Was confusing when arriving as the overall building had a different name, and couldn't see the lockbox at first, had a for sale sign on the building, so was confusing, inside the lobby the walls were covered with tarpaulin sheets, did not look appealing.
- Alex (3/5): Horrible damp smell - The location was fantastic The building is absolutely rotten. The most overwhelming smell of mould/ damp in the apartment. The terrace is completely disgusting. The bed only had one thin pillow each with hair on the throw cushion.
- Maxm (6/5): Pleasant - Nice rooms inside the house comfy bed The balcony wasn’t in the best condition and the views weren’t very good out of the windows but inside was good
- Christopher (9/5): Superb -
- Lewis (10/5): Exceptional - was nice and cozy and perfect location
- Courtney (8/5): Very good - It was great locating to main street, facilities were great too. The Duvet clothes for sofa bed could do with freshening up.
- Elizabeth (8/5): nice wee apartment for a short stay - great location , very comfortable bed , fully equipped kitchen and
lovely bathroom .
- Katie (8/5): Really good location and good service for property. - Very good location, easy to get to and easy process for the whole thing. Property was a little cold, we did use the heating but that did not help much late night/early morning.
- Rachel (10/5): Exceptional - Super location, nice and modern clean apartment
- Lindsey (10/5): Excellent stay - The 'wee snug' is excellent. This little apartment has everything you need for a stay. We only stayed one night but would happily stay longer and look forward to booking again in future.
Had a slip mishap when some belongings were left behind but this was quickly and easily sorted out by the hosts.
Really can't fault the wee snug at all. Loved our stay. The only issue is parking. But this is an issue throughout Portrush.
- Caroline (7/5): Good - Location was central
- Elizabeth (8/5): Comfortable and homely - Clean and comfortable. Bed comfortable kitchen well equipped. Nice decor and homely touches The shower. Water supply was intermittent
- Glenn (8/5): great bolt hole to explore the North Coast - small but perfectly formed communal areas were a tad unloved
- Teanna (8/5): Loved our stay! - Brilliant location and we were allowed to bring our dog to stay. Bed wasn't the comfiest but thats just personal preference.
- Susan (2/5): Property was disappointing and not as advertised and overpriced - The location was good but apart from that it was overall very disappointing The entrance to the property was awful, run down and reminded us of very bad student accommodation. The decor of the apartment was nice however the smell of damp throughout the property over shadowed the stay. unfortunately this place was a let down and overpriced.
- Orla (9/5): Lovely pet friendly small apartment - lovely bright clean cute apartment
Good location
Pet friendly a big bonus
Owner was very nice on phone and very helpful with checkin procedure. Small issue but balcony area definitely needs updated.
It was a bit pricey for one night with no food included.
- Lee (7/5): Good -
- Anonymous (10/5): Great and pet friendly - Great stay, very pet friendly and very clean.
- Abi (9/5): Superb -
- Skelton (10/5): Exceptional -
- Verified traveler (6/5): - I may have missed it but I can't see any reference to the fact that the apartment is on the first floor, there are also steps in the property so worth knowing if you have any mobility issues and difficulty with stairs. It is also at the back of the building so the views are not so attractive. On a plus it is very close to the town, yet nice and quiet.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great location with easy access. We were always able to find a spot to park across the street. The kitchen with the clothes washing machine was nice. A couple of quick things to note - the second bed is a fold out couch/ to turn on the shower you need to flip the switch in the hall first/ to turn on the electric stove top you need to tap both buttons next to the lock button at the same time.
