Comfortable bed, quiet at night as it is situated on a hill above the city. Great views! The breakfast is delicious, made to order - big thanks to the catering staff! A short walk about 10 mins downhill takes you into the heart of this beautiful city, a slower slightly uphill walk back. Recommend parking in the private off road bays where it is flatter. A wonderful stay and will definitely be booking again. Thank you
- Terry (10/5): - We had a fantastic stay at The Dorian! The room was great and the breakfast was fantastic. They even supplied epsom salts for my wife's bath in the lovely soaker tub in our room. The neighbourhood was very nice and it was an easy walk into the city. Finally, the electric car charging setup was easy to use and very inexpensive. Hats off to Rosalind and the rest of the hotel staff!
- Alastair (8/5): - Very nice little b and b with parking ~15-20 mins walk from the centre of Bath. Room was a good size and well appointed. Much nicer than a bland chain hotel. Breakfast was tasty and good array of options. Reception isn’t 24 hours so as requested in documentation make sure you let them know if you’ll arrive after the time they say. Parking is tight but there’s spaces available for each room and competent drivers shouldn’t have any issues

- Alex (8/5): - We had a lovely stay and it fit the bill for us for the most part. The breakfast was lovely, lots of options and generous portions. It’s in a lovely area of Bath around a 15 minute walk from the centre surrounded by lots of equally beautiful properties. Our room was smaller than expected and could get quite warm even with the windows open. The bed wasn’t the most comfortable but not awful. We had a slightly unfortunate experience in that we were in Bath for a wedding and I was quite unwell so needed a quiet space to rest and be able to nap during the day. The room could get quite noisy in the morning due to things outside of the staff’s control (e.g., a tree being pruned at 8am on a Saturday morning on the neighbouring property and a dog that whined for hours at a time in the morning on a neighbouring property). Between those and not being able to close the windows as it was so warm and there was no air con, it made for a somewhat uncomfortable experience at times. That being said, if you are in Bath to sight see and will be out and about all day long then this B&B is absolutely perfect and you will have a lovely stay and get to see a little more of Bath when you’re walking to and from the centre!

I would add the people are brilliant but the room left us underwhelmed We know it was a cosy room but the bed was really uncomfortable and the room was absolutely boiling - the fan/ heater didn’t provide any respite plegnand
- Elena (8/5): - It is a small hotel run by a family. Nice people trying to help all the time. My room was very nice, great bed, all very clean and renovated. They kindly reserved a parking space for me. They have electric car charger that was very easy to use. The only thing- it was further away from the city centre that I would like it to be. I had to take Uber.
- Karen (8/5): - We had a two nights stay in Nov 2024. We were able to get a parking space and the breakfast was lovely. We had a lovely room on the top floor with an en-suite shower. The bed and pillows were too soft for my partner but I thought they were lovely!! The curtains were tired, and the lining of one was ripped and hanging down. My partner spotted some dirty marks on the bed sheets and there weren’t enough teabags or coffee sachets and milk jiggers to have a couple of drinks each. Having said this I’d be more than happy to stay again, it was a lovely to stay and was perfect for what we needed. 10 minute walk down into Bath and obviously back up the hill at the end of the day but this was fine for us.

- Joshua (10/5): - We stayed at Dorian for one night only, but we wish it was forever! The place was beyond our expectations and felt so at home and our room was so cozy with the best view ever. Our breakfast was delicious and the staff was so friendly and helpful. We will come back to Bath in the future and will stay no where else.

- Kelly (8/5): Great stay but bathroom issues - We have stayed at Dorian House before so recommended it to our friends as a group booking (8 of us) to celebrate our 50th birthdays. We went for an executive room (6) Tallis. The room was beautiful with a lovely big bed and great view out of the quirky windows overlooking Bath. The welcome and the breakfast were both excellent. The issue we had was with the bathroom. It is shower only. There is a large sign up saying not to adjust the pressure of the shower due to it being an old house and the pipework not being able to cope. What I didn't expect was that there would be such little power in the shower - the water dribbled out. I had no choice but to increase it to actually shower on the 1st night. This meant that the water overflowed the shower tray & we ended up mopping the floor. The drain away is very small & the bathroom easily floods with literally no lip on the bottom of the shower to contain the water. This was mentioned at breakfast the next day. They changed the shower head but that wasn't the issue it's the design of the bathroom. This meant that I could not actually wash my hair all weekend as the water pressure was either insufficient or flooded the bathroom. This bathrooms needs a bath, with a shower overhead to avoid this happening. It's a shame as it would put me off booking this room again.

Staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast was first class. Accommodation was comfortable. Definitely recommend. Thank you to the staff for a lovely, 2 night stay on our first visit to Bath.

Large room with tasteful decor and modern bathroom. Huge bed which was extremely comfortable so slept well for 3 nights we stayed .Hospitality tray well stocked .Breakfast was superb- locally sourced top quality ingredients, good choice, and staff helpful and friendly- nothing was too much trouble. Only 15 minutes walk into centre of town . Would definitely recommend.

All the necessary information was thoughtfully provided in our room, which was a nice touch. The room itself was smaller than expected compared to the photos online, but it had a comfortable bed and a relaxing atmosphere. Breakfast was fairly standard, but the tea and coffee were disappointing, lukewarm and not very flavorful. However, the warm and friendly service made up for it, adding a positve start to our day. Overall we enjoyed our stay in Bath & would book again to stay at the Dorian hotel 😊

- Ryan (10/5): Amazing!! - We recently had the pleasure of staying at this lovely hotel and it was an absolute delight. I booked last minute for my girlfriends birthday as our trip to Edinburgh got cancelled and the service was exceptional. Everyone was so friendly, the experience felt extremely personalised, and the staff were so attentive. The owners/staff really went out of their way to ensure our stay was comfortable, offering thoughtful touches throughout our stay (my girlfriend got a birthday card and a box of chocolates, there were chocolate on the pillows, I had bought birthday banners which the cleaners actually put up for us so we were surprised with this after our day out in bath!! Justin offered us amazing bar recommendations which we went to and loved!) The rooms were super clean and the breakfast was absolutely delicious. It’s clear they take great pride in what they do. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a warm, welcoming trip with that extra special touch!!

The staff were lovely and they seemed to have thought of everything. The electric charge points and parking on site was a bonus too.

The breakfast was fantastic and plentiful. The complimentary bathing scrubs were great. We have stayed in 5 star hotels that were not as good all round as this. We will definitely be booking again. I nearly forgot to mention the reason we had booked. It was to see a man for all seasons at the theatre. So thank you to them too for being here so we could find this accomodation.

- Vikki (10/5): Best Boutique in Bath - Beautiful hotel located within easy reach of Bath town centre. Plenty of parking on site, which was ideal after a long drive. After hours check-in was easy & efficient, with clear message from the owners beforehand. Our room was very clean & tidy, and offered lovely views over the town. The water pressure wasn't great in the shower, but it didn't affect our stay. The honesty bar downstairs was a nice touch too, with a range of drinks both alcohlic & non-alcoholic, with ice avaialble too. Breakfast was top quality both mornings, and we would highly recommend the Eggs Benedicts & Florentine. We'll certainly look to stay again on our next visit to Bath

- Suzanne (10/5): Fantastic place to stay, faultless - Had a fantastic stay at Dorian House, nothing but positive things to say from the friendly and helpful staff to the lovely room (no 6) along with a fantastic quality breakfast with local produce used. They really have everything you could possibly want. To the honesty bar, ice machine, complimentary bath salts and ear buds to knock out the sound of a snoring partner. There is honestly nothing I can think of to improve the whole experience. They were also very helpful with additional parking requirements when my partner had to travel down separately the following day due to a parent being unwell which I was most appreciative of as parking in Bath is very expensive. It’s only a 10-15 minute walk into town and I was happy to walk down the hill in the daytime & Uber back in the evening. An overall fantastic stay and a highly recommend if looking for somewhere to stay in Bath.

- Gary (10/5): Xmas Market long weekend - Really pleased with this choice of B&B , room very nice , breakfast was great but above all the staff could not be more helpful. Location was good and a 15 minute walk downhill into town. Not so easy walking back for some uphill to B&B but plenty of taxis in town for those wanting to save their legs and taxis were a decent price. B&B had private parking as street parking is a shocker in Bath so that was a bonus. The Xmas market was immense so plenty of walking required and ohhhhhh it was extremely busy in town but the vibe is great and some real good places to eat.

- Kirsty (10/5): - Lovley friendly welcome. Beautiful room with wonderful decor and very clean. Walking distance from town. Free parking. A* breakfast. Excellent price. Had a little upgrade as well without asking . Would highly recommend and use again .

- Craig (10/5): Dorian House, Bath - It was our first trip to Bath, the property was excellent and full of character. Room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic. Located on the outskirts of town, it was only a 10 - 15 minute walk in to the sights.

- Della (8/5): 60th birthday celebration - Having done a good piece of research on where to stay, the recommendations on this hotel definitely won us over. It is a lovely little B&B there’s no doubt. The staff are all extremely friendly and helpful , and nothing is too much trouble . The breakfast is one of the finest we have experienced , and if our review was based on this alone it would definitely be 5*. However, having read the reviews and seen the pictures of other rooms with lovely views we were slightly disappointed to be in a lower ground room with a view of the car park. It was also a smallish room , although it utilised every inch of the space well, and there is a lovely shower in the bathroom. Unfortunately we found the room much too warm, which is obviously known as there was a fan going in the room on our arrival. However there were plentiful supplies of tea and milk , a definite plus. We cannot rate it 5 because of the above comments , however I wish we could rate it 4 and a half! The walk down to the city from the B&B seemed daunting at first , especially with my husband having had a knee replacement, and us both being not as fit as we’d wish, however we did this several times each day and can honestly say we hardly struggled at all. We would definitely consider staying here again if we returned to Bath , as long as we could have a room with a view. Thanks again to all concerned for a lovely stay.

Justin greeted us on arrival and was really helpful - maps, restaurants recommendations and directions on how to walk into Bath which only takes 10 minutes. Breakfast was delicious and staff delightful. Would certainly stay there again.
