Nous sommes un peu déçu par le peu de choix proposé. Ce n'est pas un buffet, plutôt une proposition restreinte. Même si on peut redemander des produits, nous n'aimons pas ce sentiment.

Geschmackvoll eingerichtete, ruhige Zimmer. Freundlicher Empfang. Auch das Restaurant im Haus ist zu empfehlen. Das Frühstück ist nicht schlecht, aber auch nicht ganz auf dem Niveau des sonst Gebotenen. Aber vielleicht war am Sonntagmorgen, als wir auscheckten, nichts mehr los

- Evelyn (9/5): This charming hotel inthe lovely old town is property we would love to return to in the future - We love this hotel. A beautiful building. The suites are beautifully renovated. Mostly we love the location in the old town. We arrived after 5pm. The navi sent us to the hotel via a route that did not allow access to the old town. The area becomes pedestrian only. We found help eventually with a local guiding us with her own vehicle. I wish the hotel would have reached out to tell us the alternate route. .

- Peter (10/5): Entspannendes Wochenende mit schönem Retroflair. - Ein sehr schönes, stilvolles Hotel in der Mitte von Burgdorf. Man fühlte sich um 100 Jahre zurückversetzt was ein ganz spezielles Flair verlieh. Ausgesprochen freundliches Personal und auch das Abendessen war sehr gut. Das Frühstück war gut. Jetzt nicht irgendwie aussergewöhnlich aber mit allem, was ich mir wünschte. Wer gerne auch mal abseits der grossen Tourizentren wie Bern, Luzern, etc. ein etwas spezielleres Kleinstadthopping machen will, der ist generell in Burgdorf und speziell in diesem Hotel sehr gut bedient.

- Gleb (10/5): One of the best places we’ve ever stayed! - Don’t judge too harshly for the lack of air conditioning - in such historic buildings, getting permits is extremely difficult. Everything is arranged to the highest standard, and breakfast is excellent - served in a restaurant that once held a Michelin star. + There are so many lovely little touches, like complimentary drinks in the fridge. The town itself is charming and full of history. And you’ll be staying just 300 meters from the inner courtyard of Burgdorf Castle, where you can watch the sunset. Highly recommended!

The Kitchen says it has an Award. Therefore we had some expectations regarding the breakfast: Unfortunately the expectations were not fulfilled. The staff was really nice but the Concept with etagere is just ourdated and the amount was just way too Little for two persons. Please, rather do a nice buffet!

- Brew (10/5): I always look forward to coming to Burgdorf and the Stadthaus. - I’ve been coming to the Stadthaus for roughly 20 years and have always found it an exceptional location and building. I have always been well taken care of and have enjoyed every stay. It’s a beautiful area and a peaceful place to enjoy yourself. The food is always good and the service exceptional. You can’t do anything about the church bells that ring in the middle of the night- wear ear plugs!

I have checked in the evening and the reception seem to be waiting for me. Simple and easy check in and a friendly staff member greeted me. In the room a hand written and signed welcome note and fresh fruits were prepared for me, very nice touch. The hotel accommodated my wish for a high floor level room with nice view. The breakfest was fresh and well presented with high quality and local ingrediencies every morning. The room was spacious elegantly designed exactly how it was reflected on the pictures. The extra care and attention to the details and service is noticeable throughout.
- Pianini (9/5): A pleasant escape weekend - The hotel is very central and in a beautiful historical building. We stayed in a very spacious room, furniture is simple but elegant. The bathroom (also spacious) had a lovely big vintage look bathtube and a shower cabin. The breakfast is served at the table and it is freshly prepared. We did not watch it but the TV is quite small, and so is the shower cabin, especially if compared to the size of the bathroom.

I ate dinner there which was very nice, although the portions were a bit small. Breakfast was more than adequate; plentyful and delicious with many small treats and as much of them as I would have wanted. I liked the small portions so that I could have a bit of everything. A plus for me was the Smokers Lounge which is rather rare nowadays in Switzerland. But this was a very nice furnished one and served as well.
