• Radek (10/5): Amazing stay in Rome - Our stay was excellent. The accommodation was great, clean, comfortable, and exactly what we needed. Ivan was an amazing host — very helpful, friendly, and always ready to advise us with anything. He also gave us great tips for local restaurants, which we really appreciated. There is also a direct bus connection to the city centre. Highly recommended.
• tgorja09 (10/5): When in Rome... - Our stay at Damiva was excellent. The location is very quiet and feels very safe to walk around (even later in the evening). Ivan gave us lots of recommendations for restaurants, bakeries, ice-cream shops... etc. and they were all as good as he recommended them. There is a bus stop right in front of the building, and lots of options to go to the City Centre, Vatican (need to change 1 bus), Colosseum, Trastevere and more. Basically, any point in Rome is about 20 minutes away. But be careful during rush hour, there is a lot of traffic in the City Centre where all the buses intersect, and it can take up to almost an hour, but the only way to avoid this is to book your stay in the City Centre, I guess :D. For breakfast, you need to go to the other side of the building to a small bakery with a coupon you receive from Ivan, and you can select 1 pastry and 1 coffee per person, of your choice, and the choices are delicious. The beds were SUPER comfortable, no noise from outside, a small balcony is perfect to relax after a long day of walking to enjoy a beer (would benefit from maybe 1 extra chair :) ). The kitchen is not for guest use, but you are more than welcome to use the refrigerator. All in all, we would definitely stay with Ivan again! Everything was great, really. Cannot find any downsides...

• Werner (4/5): Freundlich, sauber. - Geschmackvoll eingerichtetes Zimmer. Bushaltestelle direkt daneben. Laut! Von oben hört man jeden Schritt, jeden Gang auf das WC als wäre es im Zimmer. Der Weg in das Zentrum und zurück dauert teilweise über 1 Stunde in überfüllten Bussen mit teilweise langen Wartezeiten am Abend.

• giu67890 (10/5): Esperienza eccellente: camera, colazione e ospitalità da 10 e lode! - Ho soggiornato in questa struttura e sono rimasto davvero soddisfatto. La camera era spaziosa, ben tenuta e molto pulita, perfetta per un soggiorno confortevole. La colazione presso il bar convenzionato era fantastica! Trovare parcheggio è stato abbastanza semplice grazie alle numerose strisce bianche disponibili nella zona. Il vero punto di forza è stato l’host: super disponibile, gentile e attento a ogni dettaglio. Ancora grazie per la disponibilità :-)

• Alessandro (8/5): Comodo per qualche giorno a Roma - Stanza ricavata da un appartamento con altre camere matrimoniali. Camera con armadio minimale e bagno nuovo con tutto il necessario. Ottima posizione per servizi e trasporti pubblici. Ex cucina utilizzata come deposito dal proprietario e dall'impresa di pulizie a vista del cliente. Colazione offre solo caffetteria e qualche dolce presso un antistante bar giovanile e con ricco bancone di dolci. Nel complesso buona qualità/prezzo. Da rivedere la soluzione della colazione e riordinare la cucina. Colazione: da trovare una struttura che offre una soluzione più ricca.
• Lorne (10/5): Hâte d'y retourner les yeux fermés ! - L'accueil était idéal. L'hôte a su nous accompagner à n'importe quel moment de notre séjour sur les activités à faire ou les restaurants qui étaient excellents. La chambre etait calme et ultra clean. Le lit très confortable, un petit nid où se reposer après des journées de visites de cette ville merveilleuse. À proximité de tout! Rome centre à 30 ou 40 min pieds, le magnifique et très vivant quartier de Trastevere est à 15min à pieds et si vous n'avez pas envie de marcher il y a des bus juste en bas de l'hébergement ! Merci mille fois à notre hote pour sont accueil et le temps qu'il a pris pour nous dès notre arrivée jusqu'à notre départ ! Nous reviendront avec plaisir. Rien. Le quartier etait idéal, la chambre bien équipée et silencieuse, la salle de bain propre et très jolie. Le système de tickets pour le petit déjeuner dans une très jolie petite boulangerie a 2 pas de l'hébergement est très bien pensé. La seule petite chose à dire est que le lundi la boulangerie initiale est fermé et que la seconde qui est encore plus près est beaucoup moins accueillante et que le choix est très limité... mais ce détail n'a rien à voir avec la chambré ou notre hote ! Zéro défaut à cet hébergement.

• Mikael Afian (9/5): Overall, it's fine. It's easy to get to the city center, the rooms are clean. - Ivan, the apartment's owner, is a pleasant young man, ready to help at any time. Bus stops nearby; number 190 goes to Termini Station via the city center. This is NOT a HOTEL; it's three rooms in one apartment on the 6th floor of an apartment building. Booking.com filters show this place as a hotel, but it's not. The apartment has a kitchen, which is not allowed to use, and a washing machine, which is also not allowed to use either. Breakfast is Italian—just coffee and one pastry. Don't expect a filling breakfast.

Host was very responsive when contacted. Tricky finding the accommodation as in a courtyard between two roads, which has pedestrian access only. We where stick until we called host who arranged someone to come and meet us.
• Fradar (7/5): Room with easy location to cental Rome. Clean, comfortable, but very basic. - Ivan is a very kind, helpful and very accomidating host. The location is next to the bus service that goes to central Rome. If you are coming by car the parking is free on the street. We felt very comfortable in the community and did use the bus. Just always take caution for pickpocketers! It has a balcony and is located by near restaurants, grocery stores and shoppping. Ivan is willing to share the main apartment refrigerator should you need it. The room is a small apartment room. Your breakfast is an Italian style breakfast (coffee & croissant) you receive in exchange for a voucher that comes with the room. Not a B & B as we know it in the US. Parking & location is difficult to find. It can be very noisy if the windows are open.

• Rebecca (10/5): In general, everything was perfect for our stay of 5 nights. - The owner was always answering fast by text, answering to a lot of our questions and was proposing many restaurants. We had the coffee and croissant included each morning, in some coffee shop around the place. The bus station was down the block, so it was easy to go everywhere in Rome. Because of the trafic, the bus can take between 30-60 min to go in the central, so you need to prepare your activities in consequence.

The bus stop is just as you leave the block, you don’t need to look for it and the bus is taking you to the city center directly it helps a lot ☺️👌🏼 the host is nice and open, always willing to help if needed and cares about a good stay for you, he speaks English very well so don’t worry if you doesn’t speak Italian 😉 the breakfast is not served in your room, you get tickets to have breakfast in the bar across the street. For me it was even a better experience cause the bar has very friendly staff, is near the house and you can select a coffee and something sweet as Italians used to do for a breakfast ☺️ We loved a stay there and may come back in the future! Really enjoyed and recommend ☺️ -

Check in wasn't very smooth, the instructions were nonexistant and we had to spend some time waiting to be let in to the apartment. The breakfast was not served at the room (you get (cheap, think 3-4€) vochers for a cafe across the street, not "breakfast in bed" like the images). This is a room in someone's private apartment, not a B&B.

• Arturs (10/5): Exceptional - The host was super friendly and informative. All the tips/tricks of the Rome life were shared e.g. transportation, underwater rocks, scam schemes for tourists and how to avoid them. Don't be concerned regarding the location of the place on the Rome map thinking that it's far away from the city centre, you can reach the Coliseum by foot in 45 minutes, or in 10 minutes by public transport for 1.5 euro per person (May 2024). I'd say that you're located almost in the city centre. Plenty of places to eat Italian food nearby the Damiva with acceptable prices compared to the City centre. You'll be provided with a breakfast ticket by the host and can have a classical Italian breakfast (pastry of your choice + coffee), though it's located on the other side of the street. In addition you can use the apartment kitchen/fridge/utensils free of charge informing host in advance or in WhatsApp (usually answers withing 30 minutes (usually instantly)). It's a decent place for the money paid. No complains.

• Sagota777 (10/5): Cool - Breakfast was in a neighboring buffet, where the servers were good, and you could ask for a delicious sandwich for a small difference. Hungarians do not eat sweets for breakfast (usually). The neighborhood is not the prettiest, there are many street vendors. But the advantage is that the city center is a quarter of an hour away! Traffic is good. And the window faces the pedestrian street, so the room is quiet.

It was a room in an apartment in which there was neither a glass nor a kettle. 2. there was no shampoo and conditioner even though the description said there would be 3. There were also no bathrobes 4. there was no bottle of water either 5. but there was a cockroach running around in the toilet
• Thea (10/5): Would stay here again. - Honestly nothing negative to say. It was actually quite easy to find when following Google Maps. The room was super clean, comfortable beds, very fast working airconditioning and very nice shower. For some reason there was no hot water the first morning, but Ivan fixed it immediately. The location is absolutely fine with Roma Trastevere Stazione a 10 minute walk away, and several busses leaving right outside the door. The neighbourhood is very quiet compared to the rest of the city but has cafés, a few stores and a nice lille Gelataria nearby. Of course traffic can be heard but you get used to it very fast. We really enjoyed the breakfast at the little café across the street which had amazing cappuccinos and super nice croissants for breakfast. Ivan was SUPER helpful with public transportation, good restaurants recommendations and any other inquiry we may have had. It was definitely a huge plus that we could contact Ivan when needed. We would definitely stay here again. A minor thing that would have been nice would be a tiny fridge/empty minibar where you could store cold drinks and/or snacks in your room but that would only be a nice, extra luxury to have.

Breakfast was provided by the owner at a local bar across the street and it was ok. 3. Apartment well positioned, good neighborhood. 1. I would like to clarify, since it was not mentioned on the description, that this is a 3 bedroom apartment. Therefore, without knowing, we actually rented one of these 3 rooms. 2. Since there are 2 bedrooms rented (3rd one being occupied by the owner), after our first night there, we sent a message to the owner mentioning that people from the other room were noisy on the night before: at 1 PM they were on the kitchen doing dishes and being noisy. 3. 10 minutes after sending this message to the owner, our reservation was cancelled, without being told anything and we noticed this by mistake on the Booking app when we checked out on our 4th day. 4. When we asked the owner about this, said that it was by mistake, by I hardly believe in this kind of coincidence.

The room and bathroom were amazing, everything was super clean and modern. Public transport was on the corner of the building. Moreover, breakfast was delicious and served in a really cozy cafe. It was a pleasure to stay at this place and enjoy Rome for a couple of days.

While it may not be located in the historic center, there is a bus stop right in front of the building that provides easy access to the heart of the city in just 10 minutes. • Wasti (3/5): Poor - -En-suite was clean -Room was an appropriate size -Host, Ivan is a friendly guy -A bit hard to find as it’s 1 flat in a large residential block. -Elevator in the building looks like it hasn’t been updated in a long time. -It is a “B&B” but breakfast takes 10 minutes to get to (door to door). The host provides coupons for 1 item each pp to eat and drink to be redeemed at a nearby tabacchi. This is not most people’s idea of breakfast. -No iron available to use. -Rooms are not sound proofed/can hear other guests. -Owner uses his kitchen to cook so if you’re sensitive to smells, this won’t suit you as ventilation of the flat is poor and the smell permeates into the room. -For this location and setup, the rate is excessive. I was trying to find something budget friendly because I didn’t want to waste charity funding that was being used for me to attend a conference. In that vein I expected basic and wasn’t under the misconception that this was going to be relaxing but it seemed like the host always opted for cheapest possible option with everything which is not appropriate for the rate.

Host was very friendly, he gave us very useful advices what to see (and maybe even more important, when to go, to avoid waiting in the lines). Room was clean and appropriate size to feel comfortable during the stay. Croissants for breakfast were tasty and made a perfect match with a cup of espresso / cappuccino for a good start of a day.
