• Linda (9/5): Terrific stay for a multi generational family attending a wedding in Broke. - Size and areas of house, the pool was terrific. Peaceful environment. Location was convenient for a wedding. But town a little far from main areas of Hunter Valley. Lacks wardrobe space for a longer stay.

All the extras such as cupboards of board games and books was a bonus, likewise the hammocks went down a treat. Kitchen was fabulous. We loved all the brickwork walls.

The house was beautiful, very spacious, well equipped, very clean, beds were good and the pool was fabulous especially as it was very hot. • Katherine (8/5): Lovely quaint stone country house with plenty of room for a large group of guests. - Heated jacuzzi was very pleasant and it also helped to warm the pool. It was nice that the property included pool towels as the bath towels were only small. There was plenty of in door and outdoor seating space as we had visitors for dinner. The house was well set up for a lot of guests plus visitors i.e. big gas BBQ, plenty of crockery, glasses, large gas stove and lots of staples, gladwrap so we didn't need to go out and buy anything like that. Two big fridges too!! I would have liked to have more advance notice about how to access the property in case my battery failed or I lost reception, even having someone's contact details in advance would have reassured me that we wouldn't be left locked out when we arrived. The airconditioner was not connected and the nights got a bit cold. The fireplace was more for ambience as it didn't generate any heat in the living areas of the house.

• Jane (7/5): lovely stay - 2nd time ! just bring your woolies in winter! - Great property was a good atmosphere and great for a large group. Being winter, it was definitely very cold when we arrived and lack of insolation and the high ceilings made it very hard to heat, despite one split system and having the fire going. Some bedrooms had heaters which we were able to put on, but at the other end of the house, we could not get the heater to work in one bedroom, and the other bedroom did not have a heater. After we left them all available heating on for 24 hours, the house was a comfortable temperature. Would definitely appreciate some thought about improving heating in winter. Extra blankets and doona’s were available, however, it took us to be cold in the middle of the night to find where they were. Electric blankets were not an option.
