Nice appartment in downtown Reykjavik. Be advised: Parking in the direct area is not free, but walking up the road for 5 minutes brings you into the free area.

It was easy to collect the keys but the door lock is not the easiest to open - a simple way to rectify this would be to give instructions in the welcome notes. I notice this has been a problem for many other guests having read the reviews…retrospectively.

The flat is in the perfect location for town and day trips but the flat is in desperate need of some TLC. The bathroom and living room in particular- have many broken items - lampshades, blinds, chairs. The sofa is particularly uncomfortable and there are extra tables making it over crowded. The shower leaks, has black mould in the sealant and the towel rail fitting is broken. Generally storage is poor but it does not need to be as there is ample room if the correct storage solutions were added to the cloak room area. There was not enough hangers or draws to place clothes. The layout of the flat should be made clearer in the description - To carry food through a bathroom or bed room to get to the kitchen is a first for me - this really does need to be made clear in the advertising details as this makes bedroom privacy tricky. With some careful considerations when refurbishing the property this could have been avoided by placing the bathroom in reverse locations or switching so the shower is where the cloak room is located. Despite asking, via email, text and voice messages for extra pillow case covers and two single sheets (so we could separate the 2 single beds which had been made as a double) no one responded. Providing extra bedding is great but the bedding covers also need to provided. The really shame is that this flat has such rich history (we looked up the details based on the outside plaque) and details could be included somewhere in the flat. The photos are not a fair representation of the property and there are definitely better flats for around the same price in the same location.

Good size, generous living with separate dining. Great location, minutes to main shopping and cafe strip in centre of town.

Layout. Had to walk thru 2nd bedroom to get to main bedroom, not ideal. The. Bathroom at other end of unit. No instructions for using hotplates which kept turning off.

Great location.

The apartment is tired. Needs a refresh. Putting out old furniture that has seen better days. Couldn’t get the TV to work. A man kept sitting on the stairs smoking.
