Hôtel des Vosges

A lovely, characteristic hotel with comfortable rooms and beautiful views. The menu choice and food standard in the restaurant is excellent. The breakfast was above standard. The staff were very friendly but professional and the owner was extremely accommodating. Thank you for such a lovely stay and we hope to see you again soon.

Gute Lage in schöner Landschaft in den Nordvogesen, großes Zimmer. Unser Zimmer war mit Balkon und schönem Blick ins Tal.

Der Herr an der Rezeption war (durchgängig) nicht freundlich und nicht hilfsbereit. Beispielhaft: Als ich ihn bei der Anreise fragte, wo ich parken kann, da der Parkplatz des Hotels schon belegt war, meinte er, ich habe keinen Anspruch darauf und ich möge auf der Straße parken, wo ich schon gecheckt hatte, dass keine Parkplätze frei waren. Dabei liegt ca. 300m entfernt ein öffentlicher kostenfreier Parkplatz, worüber er mich jedoch nicht informierte! Ansonsten wirkt das Hotel etwas in die Jahre gekommen, zu wenig Steckdosen auf dem Zimmer, kaputter Klodeckel (weil billigstes Material), schwarzer Schimmel um die Badewanne. Die Reinigung war gut, aber es schein nicht, dass jemand die Mängel sieht und sich darum kümmert.

Old school but exactly what I needed, the staff super friendly (i only speak English unfortunately, but they were a great help and had no issues with language). I was allowed to store my bike in the restaurant which was just kind of them. All in all its old school charm and comfort had me wanting to stay longer.

Don’t expect the Hilton but it’s clean and comfortable which was great. I’d say change nothing
