OH ESPAÑA!

This is actually a nice house converted to a hotel. It has a garage that can fit two cars and we used one of those. Staff are very friendly and they just make you a breakfast in the kitchen and you'll have it in a dining room with a nice view of the yard. They also have plenty of books to read and a few games. Pay attention at the booking that different rooms have different bathroom situation: private in room, private out of the room, shared,... . The hotel (house) is very close to the airport. It seems most residential areas like this one are in gated community so you might need to show an ID (passport) to be let in.

I used this hotel because it was so close to the airport and I wanted to be sure I got there in time for an early departure. I had no idea what a lovely family lived their as the B&B hosts. From the time I got there: The owner waited outside so that cab didn't get lost, to the time I left: She also had a friend pick me up at 5:00 a.m. and bring me to their airport on time. I was part of their family. The room was huge! I had my own bathroom. So, when I wanted privacy, I had it. When I wanted to go downstairs and eat dinner, it was up to me if I wanted them to join me or if I wanted to stay by myself (I enjoyed their company immensely). Guatemala City gets a huge bum rap. But, you don't want to walk around some neighborhoods alone at night (just like any American city these days). For me, for what I needed the hotel for, this was perfect! Why spend $200 for an american-ized hotel that could truly not care, when you can spend your time with a nice family that does? Also, ask why the hotel is name Oh Espana! And bring a soccer ball!

Incredibly convenient hotel for airport stops, hosted by Magdalena who was very communicative and helpful before I arrived. A nice personal touch stay and both the room and the wifi were first rate. I don't think that small accommodation stays get better than this.

We really enjoyed our stay at Oh España. Magdalena was very kind and helpful, the breakfast was amazing and she helped us arrange a dinner with lots of dietary restrictions. We are grateful and would stay again if we need to catch a flight from Guatemala City!

We were lucky we stayed there. And first of all - muchas gracias, Magdalena. We had some problems and she did all the best not only to make our stay very pleasant ( It was ), but to solve those problems too. Property itself is perfect for a stay before/after flight. Good breakfast, transfer from/to airport. Comfortable beds, spacious rooms, home atmosphere. In addition to it - lovely yard, relaxing place for morning coffee or evening vine.

After a long bus ride this was a lovely sanctuary in busy Guatemala City. The Spanish-feel hotel is like a large bed-and- breakfast; speaking of which the breakfast was five-star! The rooms have high-ceilings and comfy beds. All is clean as can be. The downstairs has a pleasant common area, a dining room and walled garden with a sitting area. The host speaks English as does her husband. We arrived by Uber, went out to dinner, on her good recommendation, with Uber and were taken free to the nearby airport for free. (We of course paid for the first two rides. This is my first experience with Uber anywhere and the drivers both spoke English and the drivers and cars were first class.) This is a nice little hotel, close to the airport without being very noisy, in a gated community called Aurora.
