PPT Muar Hotel

The container hotel had a interesting out look. Don't expect too much for the room though. We booked a standard room and all it had was a bathroom and a bed. No wardrobe to place your luggage. The place is decorated with transformer murals that's great for taking pictures with it.

This is my 1st time staying at a container hotel. Quite a unique feel. Room size is generally spacious as we took up the executive suite . Consists of a king size bed, a mini rocking chair/sofa, living room, balcony and a toilet. No fridge. Only supply two towel and a floor mat. Provide 2 bottle of drinking water and coffee. No tea provided. No boiling flask but there is hot water and cold water dispenser just right outside the room. They hotel room provide thermos flask only. Toiletries are basic, soap , shampoo and toothbrush. Hair dryer provided but need to request from the counter. Ironing board is for sharing I believe as it is found at the common area outside the hotel room. Hotel room is basically clean but not the bedsheet . There are stain on the bed sheet which I believe the cleaning is not done properly or just some old stain which they did not managed to remove. Since the wall are just metal plates, you can easily hear sound coming from the walk way. No breakfast provided as they do not own any cafe. You can easily drive to the nearest shopping centre which is 5 mins away for breakfast. Plenty of car park in-front of the hotel compound. There is a security guard who guard the car park at night . Overall recommend quite a fun experience. My two girls enjoy the one night stay!

Past weekend we visited Muar and our local friend booked us in interesting hotel with container rooms. They also have "standard" rooms but we opted for the novelty and also took the larger containers. Pros 1- Themed (transformer robots, art work, etc.) makes an interesting stay. 2- Plumbing and fixtures work well, mainly cause it is fairly new. Has row of 4 hooks in bathroom. 3- Though the water heater for bathing is instant type, water pressure is still ok. And it is easy to control/adjust. 4- Nice landscaping with ample car park spaces. 5- Rate is reasonable 6- Bed is on hard side with good support- we had a good sleep. 7- Medium sized gym- though we never used it. 8- For an economy hotel the towels are good quality comprising of 2 bath towels and a small floor mat. 9- Free wifi in room though very slow with weak signal. Cons 1- The rooms are refurbished used containers, a bit beat up, and probably rusting. We noticed several small areas of rust starting to appear though the paint. This is especially so at the shower corner. 2- Walls are only the walls of the container so there is little sound proofing. Our Mother/daughter friends had a room where a group of people who checked in very late made the next door room, the container next to mother/daughter, a meeting place. It was very noisy and they did not get a good night's sleep. 3- The bathroom is a wet type- no shower curtain. Small but functional - with careful shower head aiming one can limit the wetness. 4- No lift- at least at the container block. We had travelled light and stayed on the 1st floor (ground being ground floor) so not a big deal. 5- The metal containers can get quite hot in the sun- be sure to get extra room card key to keep the A/C running while you are out. 6- No covered walk way between the container block and the main hotel/reception. Heavy rain with luggage would be a hassle. 7- Little wardrobe space- just a towel bar with couple plastic hangers- no hooks. 8- The sliding doors to the balcony is of poor quality. In my early days I had done some residential studies using containers but never expected I would eventually stay in one as a hotel room. Interesting economical stay worth trying when you are in Muar.

Everything is good n clean..very comfortable to take a rest here..we stay in family room with 1single n 1queen bed..unfortunately,the aircond is only facing the single bed..this hotel got container room but we haven't try it yet

for the $ spent, it's more worthwhile to stay in the 'conventional' building room instead of the 'container' feel hotel. No morning breakfast provided. plus point: private car park provided, ease of mind for car traveller like me

Excellent landscape and rooms are nice. Suitable for family. Rates are affordable. Location at the heart of Muar town. Ample parking space. Good staffs and helpful staffs. Overall, very satisfied. Just that no breakfast is served. Ezwan

The receptionist ask me to try container hotel since i have not experience it. but i still do not feel comfortable worried it might noisy and not so secured... PPT hotel is well located and is in centre of Muar Town. Covenience to move around and you can try Muar famous local food at hawker centre. We definately will come back again.

Where can I find a bed to sleep, a place to temporary keep my luggage and a place to bathe after half day of sweating. Best of all ample free parking bay available ? Best of all I still could watch AXN channel before sleep! Initially I booked for normal building but changed my mind after I saw the container building. Definitely for sure I know it will not be sound proof. I slept for a night soundly thought. Awaken by the loud thunder storm in the dawn. The curtain could be hang higher so that it could fully cover the window. That's the only complaint. I was lucky that night during my stay because everyone there seems to know to speak softly while around the premises. Not so much of a problems unless there are toddler tends to cry for whole night. That does not happened to me. I pay what I get. Perhaps those who work at the counter are rather too shy to work in service line.

I stayed in the container hotel for a night, the electricity goes off in the midnight 3am, I have wait about an hour and then decide to call the reception about this. It tooks a very long time and no response from the reception, and then called the second time at about 5am, they replied was checking why it happens. I have waited till fall asleep and the electricity comes back around 6am without explaining to me why it happens. Poor customer services they have.

Come here for day trip, suppose stay in normal hotel room, but the worker say they still have available Container, me & my wife decide check in. If you never stay before in container than must have a try, of course the abit noise compare to normal hotel room, but it still clean & nice to stay
