Kleine Villa Rose

The location was excellent, breakfast was great, and the room was quiet and very comfortable. We happened to hit Eltville during the Rose festival, it was beautiful!

The check in needs to be improved. There is a lock box in the front entrance for each room, but you must call the phone number on the door for the code to get the keys. If you don't have calling you need to find someone to call the owner for you, as we did. It's stressful dragging your luggage around to find someone to make a phone call for you. This is a simple fix, when the rooms are ready for check in, send the codes on Booking as many other owners do. Parking was also limited and where we found a spot was very expensive, 36 euro for 2 nights. Communicating with the owner was difficult as she didn't speak English but we managed, she is very friendly.

I stayed one night in this small hotel in the centre of Eltville, a lovely old town on the Rhine. Kleine Villa Rosa has a 'family-run' feel. The owner and staff were very welcoming and delightful. The room was a little on the small side, but very clean, well-equipped, and with a good en-suite bathroom. Breakfast was excellent - fruits, yoghurt, variety of breads, cheese, meats etc. Free wi-fi was fast and reliable. The hotel is good value-for-money. Would thoroughly recommend.

You need to check with the owner before arrival and get details, or be prepared to call the number clearly displayed on the door when you arrive as the reception desk may not be manned. Room keys are kept in safe-locks near the entrance and you'll need the code for your room. It wasn't a real problem for me, but may be for some.

Friendly personable service. Quaint building. Plentiful breakfast. Great location.

Steep stairs so need to be relatively good on your feet. Air conditioning unit could have worked better but we managed.

I was a bit cold at night and would have liked a warmer duvet. But they did provide me with an extra cover when requested.

The hotel was very cute and well located in the centre of Eltville village. The host was very friendly and the breakfast was delicious. The room was very comfortable with a nice sized ensuite bathroom. There were no shampoo or conditioner, just a small satchet of shower gel.

The reception was closed when I turned up and I had to call the host to get the code for the key box. It would have been nice to know in advance that I had to get the key myself. Also, there was no Wifi (I think?)

Super cute little hotel downtown Eltville, very comfy mattress, clean room and spacious bathroom, good breakfast and friendly staff! Basically everything you look for in a hotel 🤗 Good position too: right in the heart of the Altstadt and just a few steps away from the Rhein river👍🏻
