Artist Residence Brighton

I almost never leave reviews or ratings. In fact, I think this is the first time I have ever done so. The exceptional quality of this place, its absolutely successful aesthetic, balancing fantasy and sobriety, old and new, together with the authenticity of its objects and furnishings, and its extraordinary seafront location, set just far enough back to avoid traffic, make this hotel a truly unique and perfect destination. And what can be said about the kindness and professionalism of the people who welcomed us? There is a wonderful atmosphere throughout the hotel, always accompanied by discretion and genuine thoughtfulness. For us, this is quite simply a perfect hotel, and we will certainly be returning very soon. Eric and Isabel

Room was cosy and very clean. Great for a solo traveller. Shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom were a nice touch too! Staff were very friendly and welcoming.

An exceptional little boutique hotel in a good location, walking distance from the station and close to the town centre and sea. Beautiful room with everything you could need thought of. Lovely lounge and bar areas, and great, friendly staff. A choice of good restaurants on the neighbouring street. I would stay again and recommend.

A very individual room with 5 star amenities, such as high quality toiletries, branded robe and slippers, welcome card and gift. The tea and coffee provided were of a high standard. They had thought of everything. The bed was comfortable and we both had a good night's sleep.

For the price, I expected at least a continental breakfast to have been included, and a 12 noon checkout, rather than 11am.

Amount of stairs as no lift in one half of the hotel; local car parks are very expensive, £36 per day
