The hotel and staff are lovely. The room is a good size and very clean with a tv (English channels) fridge and kettle with daily top up on tea, coffee, water. The hotel offers good facilities with a small but usable gym and pool. In the pictures it looks like the pool is in the shade but it gets 2 hours Or so of sun in an afternoon. The breakfast is a decent selection with hot buffet, scrambled egg available, most of the other hot food is Asian options, other options include cereal, toast, homemade jam, fruit, salad and some delicious homemade yogurt. Fruit juice, tea and coffee also available. It’s not advertised but if you ask, they will make you fried egg. My only suggestion for improvement would be to include better coffee at breakfast, the one served is not nice, also maybe some bacon or something to add to the western hot options. The location of the hotel is fine, it’s 15 to 20 minute walk into town, a nice cafe is attached to the hotel and mini mart next door. If you don’t want to walk both ways to town the hotel does 6 free shuttles a day.
The photos matched reality which exceeded our expectations. The staff is absolutely fantastic which always makes a trip more enjoyable. The cleaning staff is amazing, and really friendly and accommodating.
Very good hotel
I was here for about a month. All the staff there were so friendly and the facility was very clean. I was initially worried because it seemed too far from the city center, but it actually wasn't that bad walking around. It only takes 20 minutes to walk to the city center. There were also shuttle and laundry services.
Lovely new hotel a bit from city center but there is a shuttle service at the hotel to the city center and you can also take a tuk tuk. The staff was really good and they tried everything they could to make our stay the best
This is a spectacular hotel! The room was very comfortable, the bathroom was very clean and large, the service was off the charts great, and the breakfast was amazing - so much food!! There’s a shuttle to take you downtown but it’s an easy walk. We even stayed two extra nights we loved it so much. Highly recommend!
Hotel is brand new but don't know what's going on as they set temperature at 18 but it comes out to be heater, so funny, then having to set to be cooler but found setting at 28. It's ok to set everything back to normal. Breakfast is good, but no so variety of food, but should be better to have bacon, but found only sausage. Other than that, we need somebody who know Vientiane well to pick us up from hotel to go somewhere we want as hotel is in a small road.
Nice new place to stay really friendly staff clean rooms good showers breakfast was good it would be better if they had a grill to make omelettes to order. not real close to other things to do so you need tuk tuk or taxi they do have a free shuttle downtown several times a day.
S2 Hotel is suitable for experienced Lao travelers, not a new comer, as the hotel itself is located in the small road, where you need your local friends to bring you out to go everywhere you want. However, the hotel itself is new and so boutique, sufficient to serve a small traveler group, but not expect much, just for a good place to sleep at clean condition.
