Hotel Collect - Adults Only

Beautiful place with exceptional ‘of course, we can do that’ service, a great breakfast buffet and all the little touches you would expect in a high end hotel - all at a reasonable price.

It was on a nice shaded street near a park and it’s very centrally located. The staff was wonderful and tried to help us book train tickets when we couldn’t do it ourselves.

The welcoming was excellent by front desk manager Ann, who gave us something to drink, complementary presents from Hungary and a map with thorough instructions of how to get to different destinations of high interest to us. She also gave us the opportunity to reserve a table and time for breakfast the next morning, because of limited space in the dining area which is situated in the reception area. She wrote down table nr.2 from 8.30-9.15 and showed us to our room nr.6 that we would only stay in for one night before transferring to room nr.5 with a balcony and therefore opportunity to eat at our own convenience the remaining 5 days of our stay. When we came back from lunch the same afternoon, we had some questions to the staff member Sara which had taken place in the reception for the evening shift. At the same time we noticed that our reservation for next mornings breakfast had been booked twice at two different tables, and non of them matched the one Ann had given us. We told Sara that there had been a mix up with both room and table number, and that somebody had made a mistake and she needed to sort it out. The next morning when we came down for breakfast at 8.30, we were told that we were 30 minutes early and that our table nr 3 wasn’t available yet…. by the same staff member Sara. I told her that we made HER aware of the mix up yesterday, and that booth time and table she wanted us to wait for were wrong. She started to argue with me and even accused me of changing the tables on her schedule my self!!! She went as far as saying; isn’t this your handwriting??? I was absolutely fuming and flabbergasted by her lack of respect and service as she repeated it several times… I told her again and again that we brought the mixup to her attention last night, and that she or someone else had made a double mistake by changing both table and time for our room. She did not excuse herself or on the hotel’s behalf and just put us on table nr 4 in front of her desk, so we had to face her through the whole meal. I said that I wanted to speak to Ann, but she was not working that day, so I would have to wait til the next day. The next morning we noticed that there were a lot of security guards in the hotel and around the reception/breakfast area, and non of the staff members had time or interest in talking with us. Some prominent guest was of higher interest, so we went about our business without discussing the negative incident further. Booth rom nr 6 facing the courtyard and room nr 5 with balcony facing the park across the street, where absolutely lovely and extremely clean as we checked in, but that unfortunately didn’t sustain through the week. The only thing they did when comes to cleaning, was change the towels (that we didn’t need done) but not the bed for the entire stay of 6 days (it said every three days on the information brochure) They didn’t even vacuum the room after I specifically asked the maid when we left the room for lunch while they were cleaning. To top it off at check out, the same staff member Sara told us that we had a unpaid bill from the minibar of 35 euros. Again she started an argument about everything we had taken, but both my husband and I told her that the items she mentioned had just been placed on the outside of the fridge as we needed it to cool our water bottles, and that we only drank one Coca Cola zero that we of course would pay for. We told her to go check it out for herself if she didn’t believe us…..at that point she just looked down her nose at us, and told us to pay for the coke. If she had shown some humility and respect towards us in the mixup made by some of the staff members regarding the breakfast the first morning, as well as the minibar incident, we would absolutely have loved coming back to this incredibly beautiful and perfectly located hotel. But interlay because of her, we will never return. If you are comfortable with the lack of seating and the high possibility of mixups during breakfast (you can read earlier comments from guests that’s equally frustrated) I will highly recommend this unique and wonderful looking hotel in the most perfect location. But sadly we will not be coming back.

La posizione ottima per girare la città, in una zona tranquilla vicino ad un bel parco e tutto facilmente raggiungibile anche a piedi. La camera spaziosa e molto curata nell’ arredamento

La colazione ottima ma poco spazio nella lobby quindi necessario decidere un orario la sera prima per poter essere certi del posto
