Sunsan Hotel

Sunsan is a lovely waterfront hotel and we enjoyed our 4 nights here very much. Our view of the Marmara Sea was wonderful and our magnificent included breakfasts each morning were traditional Turkish with so much delicious food that we never had to eat lunch when we were out for the day. All staff were kind and helpful which made staying here even more enjoyable.

Lovely hotel on the beach - we were out of season and were upgraded to a very nice sea-view room. Copious breakfast. Friendly staff, but very little English spoken. Good but quite expensive restaurant.

Met my Fiancée and after a year of planning was married. This offered a great Honeymoon location.

The food was exceptional. Excellent local wine from Gallipoli region. Extensive breakfast. Very helpful staff who went out of their way. You can walk out on to the beach and a new deck has just been built to sit on. The water is surprisingly clear.

Cats in the dining room. People smoking in the dining room. Beach needs a good deal of litter picking but that maybe because we were out of season. We had a non-smoking room but it smelled of smoke. It would be nice to have ironed linen but that is picky for the price.

The staff was very nice - helped us arrange a taxi (off season) and made up a takeaway breakfast for us since we checked out early in the morning. The shower had hot water.

The staff didn't speak much English, though they tried their best to accommodate us. The rooms are quite small, which was difficult since we had two large suitcases. The room smelled a little like cigarette smoke and the bathroom had a sewage smell. The location is probably good if you have a car, or want to stay in/around the hotel, otherwise it's really in the middle of nowhere and taxis are expensive.

Warm clean room. Great location, if a little out of the way. Perfect if you are travelling by car. Good breakfast. Only negative is the evening restaurant. Very pricey and the food quality not on a par with the price. Enjoyed my six nights here on the shore of the Dardanelle strait.

Convenient location if you’re driving, roughly 15 minutes from both the town of Çanakkale or the site of ancient Troy. It is also right by the sea, our room had a sea view balcony which was very nice. The breakfast had a good variety of items and was pretty good. Food from the restaurant was also very decent. Staff was mostly quite friendly and helpful but most didn’t speak much English.

The cleanliness could have been better, there was a cigarette butt on the floor near one of the beds, and the toilet seat was quite dirty underneath too. There also seem to be parties planned in the dinner and breakfast areas, one happened during our stay, with excessively loud music until 3am which of course wasn’t ideal.
