Hampden Apartments - The George

Location is perfect.

The apartment was lovely, and the location to the castle was great. Had parking for 1 car, which for town centre location, was really good. Nice to have 2 bathrooms. Would definitely recommend and would definitely choose to stay here again.

The main bedroom, 1 of the bedside lamps didn't work, the bulb kept flickering. In the lounge, 1 of the blinds was broken at the top, so we just left it down, this didn't really matter though, as the windows are really big, which meant plenty of light came from the other window. One leg on one of the coffee tables was broken. The smaller bedroom could do with having a lamp in there, the main lights in the evening were really bright.

Clean, comfortable and excellent location

Kitchen could do with one or two additional pans / cooking aids but this is a minor point

Nothing to dislike

Fabulous location. It was clean and modern. Kitchen was easy to cook in. Free parking. Beds are comfortable, including sofa bed. 2 bathrooms is a nice bonus for multiple guests who are not related. Communication with host was excellent. Jeremy was very accommodating to our particular situation.

I have stayed in lots of accommodation in several countries. Overall the quality of our stay was excellent. For the price, I thought the bed linens in the master bedroom need refreshing and there needs to be clothes storage or a luggage rack or something. There was a nice closet but it couldn’t be used by guests for storing or organising your stuff. The sofa and decor in living room are a little tired and the Roman blind on one of the windows in living room was broken. Overall, these are pretty nit-picky things, but for the cost per night, I would expect a slightly higher finishing.

Location was perfect, you couldn't get much closer to the castle and restaurants etc. Apartment is a good size. Very handy having a parking space but this was quite small so anything bigger than a medium sized SUV you will struggle (I have a Tiguan and just squeezed in).

The property was a little tired with a lack of cups and glasses and cutlery. The lamp in the lounge was faulty, one of the blinds broken and the heated mirror in the en-suite was constantly on and dangerously hot. The lower bunk bed was very close to the top bunk so felt a little claustrophobic. As the sash windows are original (I'm guessing due to being listed) it was very noisy in the lounge and front bedroom. The main lock on the flat door is on its way out and some of the sash windows did not lock. Just felt like the whole apartment could have done with a little TLC.

The apartment was in a fabulous central location right by Windsor Castle. It was clean and spacious and had everything we needed.

Location is perfectly central. Just a 2 min walk to the castle. Very comfortable apartment, which was very clean.

One of the blinds is broken in the living room and the master bedroom. In hot weather the apartment can be quite stuffy, as there are 2 electric fans for 3 rooms (2 bedrooms and a living room)
