Cascades Self-Catering Apartments

Review for # 103, original 1 bedroom was not available due to an issue with prior occupant. No loadshedding for the time I stayed. Location. Sea view and the sound of the surf when all was quiet at 4am. Secure building. Prompt responses from host. Induction stove. We'll equipped kitchen. Kitchen drying towels. Blackout drapes in room closest to Marine Drive. Loads of closet space. Stable Internet. (No back up battery) Bed was comfortable. Loved the white linens. Tiled floors. Washing machine. Good sized refrigerator.

Noise echoing inside building - doors banging. Street noise. Single glazed( paned) windows. Cleanliness needs improving especially bathroom( mold shower stall). Shower stall door is partially off the track. Baseboards around kitchen cupboards and oven, chipped and shabby.Oven needs cleaning. Some scrubbing brushes and sponges need replacing, they have seen better days. The tiled floors show up hairballs, crumbs etc, so the floor needs to be cleaned much better. The hand vacuum does not do a good enough job. Clumps of laundry detergent powder still in machine. Previous user put soap powder in the wrong slot. Back bedroom only had blinds( even though there is a curtain rail) - hallway light stays on all night till just before 6am, so impossible to block out light. Quilt in back bedroom is stained. Need extension chord for lamps in front bedroom. Only one lamp can be plugged in. Roaches. Mops and ironing board "stored" against wall next to dining table. No soap in bathroom. No laundry detergent or detergent for dishwasher( did not use dishwasher). I was told that it was self-catering.
