Everything met our expectations. We couldn't ask for anything more. Peter is a very helpful and hospitable host who wants to ensure your stay on the island is as enjoyable as possible.

Great place located in Vila Verde resort, very close to the beach and close to main town in south, Santa Maria, with free shuttle couple of times a day. free coffee, comfortable rooms, friendly owner :)

The guesthouse is really nice and quiet, located a bit outside the center of Santa María in a very quiet residential complex. It offers the perks of a big resort, such as a private beach (Bikini beach) and free beach chairs, at a reasonable price. The beach is very nice to swim, with no big waves, and has several beach bars. I would recommend this place to anyone who really wants to rest, as the only thing one hears back there are the crickets! There are shuttle buses for free several times a day to Santa Maria and Ponta Petra, also a very nice beach, with more waves. The checkout is very flexible, so that you can enjoy to the maximum your last day there, have access to the house and leave your luggage there for as long as you need.

Apart from the beach bars in Bikini beach and a restaurant that opened recently in Vila Verde, there are not many options to eat, but the shuttle buses to Santa Maria depart at convenient hours to have lunch/dinner in Santa Maria center. There was a small problem with the AC, so it did not work during my stay, but Peter provided a fan that did the trick (and by the end of my stay I did not even used the fan :) )

Peter was an exceptional host. The property was lovely, perfectly clean and a great location. Far exceeded expectations as such fantastic value for money!! Would highly recommend this guesthouse. The guesthouse is very clean and comfortable. We were lucky enough to be alone, so we could use all space for two people. Peter is very helpful and informative.The apartment is in remote area which was comfortable for us. It has terrace and kind of patio. The kitchen and salon is very well equipped. You will find all staff if you need to prepare dinner or breakfast. There is tv with Netflix and many dvd films on demand Few hundred metres you will find the swimming pool. The shuttle bus stops nearby. Supermarket is within walking distance. The nearest beach is 10-15 minutes walk. Ponta Preta beach which is really nice and tranquil is about 20 minutes walk.

The complex of Villa Verde where Guesthouse is located looks abandoned and a bit deteriorated. If you would like to be a part of Santa Maria lively atmosphere you have shuttle bus which is not too frequent or you have to walk 30 minutes which is ok when it is not too hot. Of course you can take overpriced taxi too. We like walking but for some people would be inconvenient.as it is along the main road. In the complex there is only one supermarket, not a big choice of other possibilities.

20 out of 10 points for the host :D Peter gave us a warm welcome and gave us all the information we needed in order to have a great stay. He was reachable all the time and was there when we had questions. The kitchen has everything you need to cook(it even had more equipment than what I have at home in my own kitchen e.g. orange juice maker). The accommodation also offers free water which is drinkable and a lot of towels, soap, a hairdryer and even a welcome bottle of wine. Room is very clean and has mosquito protection on the balconies. On the top of the accommodation you can find a beautiful terrace to relax and hang your clothes after washing them (washing machine available in the accommodation). Peter sent us so many suggestions and names of people that offer activities, everyone will find something they like. The accommodation is located in villa verde which is almost like a small village for itself with its own supermarket which is open until 8pm. Transportation to the city is free. Bikini beach is super close and beautiful. Also u get 15% off at Bo Beach Bar.
