Very nice host, super quiet area, maximum recharge, the view of the mountains opposite from the jacuzzi is amazing. If you want to explore the island, be prepared for a lot of serpentines, but even that is enjoyable with such a view.

Beautiful cottage with private terrace overlooking the mountains and jacuzzi inside the house (in the bathroom). <3 + very communicative and helpful owner - Pablo + great interior design in Canarian style + outside on the terrace: deck chairs, barbecue and stone table and benches + total privacy, peace and quiet all around (it's a tiny town with a few houses among the mountains) + great cleanliness + comfortable bed + air conditioning inside + good WiFi coverage + available mosquito nets for windows + the most necessary kitchen equipment and utensils available (including paper towels, which is always a plus for us) + in the bathroom there were many bath and jacuzzi towels, a lot of toilet paper and shower gel + this location is a good base for trips to Roque Bentayga and Roque Nublo + 20 minutes from the pretty town of Tejeda, where there is a small supermarket, petrol station, restaurants and cafes

You just have to remember that to get to the cottage, you have to drive down a narrow road with a lot of serpentines (for us it was a nice adventure, but not every driver can feel confident in such conditions). We are very happy with our stay! Beautiful location. The house was rustic & charming, better than in the photos. Friendly host who made us feel welcome. Great base for visiting Roque Bentayga & Roque Nublo.

The windows had frosted glass so didn't make the..most of the stunning view.

The location of the house is a quite unusual one as it is down a quite remote valley. However this is actually a big plus if you are looking for something really special. The surrounding is absolutely quiet and peaceful there, the view up to the mountains and further down the valley is very nice and it is easily possible to start nice hiking trips directly from the house. The house itself has a nice verranda and everything was clean to perfection. The owner is very friendly and handed over coffee, chocolates and even a bottle of wine as a welcome gift. The usual spices, vinegar, sugar and coffee preparation equipment is all there, very convenient. Due to the remote location it is necessary to bring your supplies for cooking with you. While there is a supermarked at the village of Tejeda relatively near you may want to bring fresh fish, meat etc. from further down of Gran Canaria where they have the larger supermarkets. The road down the valley is in pretty good condition and can be driven without troubles as long as nobody is afraid of narrow mountain roads with a lot of curves. However,this holds true for all the interior of Gran Canaria. A big and nice surprise was the whirlpool available which allows a relaxing time while you enjoy the view out of the window to the mountains and maybe a glass of (sparkling) wine. Clearly a good place for lovers of a quiet and peaceful place far away from all the noise of modern mass tourism.

Definitely no blame on the house or its owner but I was surprised to see how much light is even at such a remote place at night. As a lover of starry skies I'm always on the lookout for places with dark skies at night. Lots of very bright street lamps make this more and more of a challenge. This is a general remark and is definitely beyond the influence of the house owner.
