I received about 20 texts and emails before our arrival. Initially I believed the issue was my bank- as I had recently moved banks. I received lots of messages about problems with payment, and tried to ensure I gave my new details promptly as I was told the booking was at risk. Having secured payment, the communication continued- the owner wanting to communicate via whatsapp, and then suggesting we change room for a en suite? I hadn't understood from the description that our bathroom was in fact down the corridor from our bedroom? Looking again at the description, it seemed this wasn't clear on booking.com. We agreed to the change of room, and the extra fee this incurred. Later I found the owner had cancelled our booking on booking.com without our consent, and now wanted payment direct. This was the most expensive place we stayed in our 2 week holiday, and we felt it was too pricey. Cancelling our booking.com reservation also meant we couldn't complain or use booking.com to address these issues. We were left unsure if this was a scam.

Info re our booking wasn't clear- bathroom location separate to bedroom should have been made clear. Advice re room changes best at the time of booking. Don't cancel bookings without consent. Prices too high. Lots of last minute emails and texts are hard to manage whilst travelling and cause anxiety.

Everything about Dimora was exceptional. The guest house owners agreed to pick us up at the Bari airport as we arrived late in the evening, it was perfect and the price was great. The room we had was fabulous, large, super clean and comfy bed. Giuseppe serves up an amazing Puglian brekky every morning at a specific time in the eating area and we loved it! We rented bike through them as well and went exploring up and down the coast. The location is quiet on a small piazza across from a church and walking distance to everything. Restaurants are fabulous as well. Beaches, the people, the vibe.

Only the weather as it turned a bit wet for a few days but we had a fab time and you can't be guaranteed weather in October!
