absolutely every single thing. from the moment I walked in, leaving the bustling heat of the city of Jogja it felt calming and refreshing to be there. every detail is well thought out, from the layout of the room to the organic skin care products to the food being served.

that I had to leave after short 2 days I spent in Jogja. I left a pair of sandals which hopefully mean I’ll have to come back one day :)

This place is literally paradise! Super friendly and helpful staff with sustainable and social values. Delicious, top quality, fresh food straight from the garden with traditional and contemporary recipes. The most beautiful bungalow overlooking the rice fields with an outside bath and traditional interior. Quiet and picturesque neighbourhood so you can escape the busy city. Everyone should visit Yabbiekayu!!

There are no negatives - it’s amazing!!

Yabbiekayu is a beautiful eco-oasis on the edge of Yogyakarta. Despite the proximity to nature and the elements, it still felt very clean and comfortable. And I cannot rave enough about the food! If you have dietaries (I am coeliac and vegan) you don't need to compromise at the Yabbiekayu restaurant. Breakfast is included but definitely have a few lunches and dinners here too if you can.

While we embraced the eco-friendly aspect of Yabbiekayu, know that it's not for everyone. No A/C and lots of bugs, but we knew what we were signing up for. The staff are super friendly and accommodating if you have any issues. For example, our water stopped working one night but the issue was resolved as soon as we raised it.

Everything! This was one of the best accommodations we had in Indonesia. I didn't expect it, but it's a hidden gem in Yogyakarta, perfect if you want to experience a local place. The staff was incredibly nice and kind, and something that we loved was the restaurant, with many options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It's super recommended!

There was a mosque nearby, so you need to use earplugs if you don't want to be woken up at 5am.

We loved this place so much! I wish we could have stayed more than one night but they were fully booked! This is such an amazing place! Each bungalow is beautifully done and decorated, with views over the rice fields. We loved the outdoor bathroom. The beds were very comfortable and had mosquito nets. The owners were so friendly and welcoming and they took the time to talk with us and shared stories. We loved what they are doing to help the local community. Food at the onsite restaurant was excellent. Located about 20mn drive from Yogyakarta city center. It is a place to enjoy a quiet village life and the beautiful Javanese countryside. This is one of those places we know we will go back to one day. Highly recommended. You will love it!!
