Location! Cleanliness! and friendly accommodating staff!

I liked everything.

The view from our window was phenomenal

There was NO attendant in the motel office. I had to call them to come check us in and they made us wait 10 minutes. The office smelled like moldy, musty mildew nast. Finally a long scraggly haired guy? Came and never did look me in the eye and just handed us keys and said “all set” We went to our room, opened the door and were greeted with a very moist blast of humid air? and water puddles on the floor where someone evidently mopped but didn’t get the water off the floor. The air filters were clogged in the air conditioner. I called the office again and a woman answered. I asked if it was normal to have this much water on the floors (being so close to the lake) and she said no, that she would have someone come clean it up. The long haired guy? came in with a dust mop? and wiped the water puddles up. I told him about the air filters and he said he cleans them after every stay and he must of forgot this one!?!? The filter was plugged. The bed was lumpy and the train that runs ALL NIGHT LONG was just unbearable. We HAD to cut our stay short. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS MOTEL!

Walls are paper thin. We could hear people talking through the walls. Shower was ridiculous- you couldn’t shower without the water going all over the floor. This seems like a $65/night hotel. Not worth the money

Not a fancy hotel but oh so clean and comfortable!!!! Definitely will be the place I stay with every visit!

Best motel I have stayed in for a long time. So close to Lakeside and Marblehead but also Sandusky.

EXTREMELY Pricey for a tiny, no frills room with the smallest bathroom I've ever tried to shower, etc. in! That said, the property staff was VERY nice and Welcoming. She really made it easier for me to overlook the negative for the one night we stayed.

This quaint motel right on the bay was just what I expected. Efficient. Had all we needed for our overnight stay. We loved the view of the bay. Jonathan recommended Rayz on the Bay for dinner. Within walking distance we enjoyed taking in all this quiet beautiful area has to offer. This motel is not a new and spacious place. But if you’re looking to enjoy the Bay and step back in time to simplicity, this place is for you! We would stay again!
