The Cedar Motel

This was an amazing choice for our one night stay! The Cedar motel is a charming mix of nostalgia and modern convenience. The room was clean and comfortable. The small family owned place is friendly and helpful. The patio area is so beautiful and relaxing. Highly recommend!!

We ended up coming back up the next 2 weekends. This Motel was awesome. It was just what we needed and out of the Cedar Point traffic. We were there because a friend of ours was very sick. The Woman and her son that runs were the nicest people. We will be going back up and using this motel for sure. It is between Sandusky and Port Clinton. Perfect little spot. Beautiful sunsets.

Right across from the lake… so beautiful. The woman in the office was so kind and accommodating! Room itself was clean, and we will 100% be coming back. Loved!!

Close to the water and very quiet and relaxing

Wonderful nostalgic vintage motel. Well cared for and revitalized for a new generation. Really nice, simple stay right on the bay.

The property is very quaint and lime atelping back in time to the days of roadside motels. Staff was exceptionally friendly.and the property was homey. Very simple yet nice. The bedding was nice and colorful not just basic whites.

Barking dogs necessitated our moving to the only room available which had poor quality pillows. Cleanliness was fine, shower nice and hot.

It was very cozy and was perfect for what we need for the price we will be going back

When we checked in, the owner told us the Queen bed room was tiny. We were okay with that. We loved the location; out of the city in a quiet community. The bay view in front of the motel was great. Geese were all alongside the road. We could see a train and its drawbridge across the bay. We enjoyed sitting in chairs in front and talking to people in the neighboring rooms. We were offered snacks and soft drinks when we checked in. There was no breakfast, but we knew that in advance. We had coffee, a refrigerator and microwave in the room. There were a couple of restaurants within walking distance. We were about 8 miles away from the Goodtime I cruise dock and the ferry dock which goes to nearby islands and Lake Erie cruises. About 10 miles from Walmart, Sam's Club and lots of restaurants. We enjoyed our stay and talked to others who were repeat customers at The Cedar Motel. It's not like a fancy hotel, but has a much better atmosphere.
