The Bield

The Bield was an amazing house to stay in. It had everything we needed and more. We went for a late christmas gathering and Alison even put the tree and decorations up for us. We had a fabulous time. The hot tub was also amazing. It was such a welcoming house. Definitely recommend for friends and family. Loads of space to relax. Would love to return again at some point.

Loved everything about The Bield, definite value for money - the house is stunning and kept to such a high standard, but comfy and cosy and so inviting. Well equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay with lots of little unexpected extras that made the stay even more special, like the welcome pack of local baking and robes for the hot tub. Surrounded by stunning scenery with so much to do, but staying in and around The Bield itself would be holiday enough. Would definitely recommend and would love to go back - 11 of us stayed and we would all return in a heartbeat.

Everything. Family holiday, 3 generations getting together and we all loved it. The spaces to socialise were fantastic, whilst the size of the property gave everyone a quiet space when necessary. The house's location to walks and lochs is great. The facilities were all spot on (especially the boot room - brilliant). Alison was so helpful and the little welcome package was appreciated by all. The garden was beautiful and comfortable, especially with a coffee in the morning sun.

That we couldn't stay longer!

We booked the Bield for a 70th Birthday celebration weekend incorporating three generations from teenagers to oldies. It's a wonderful period house with everything you might need to have a superb break in the lovely scenery around Aberfoyle. The rooms are spacious with comfortable beds. The kitchen is very well equipped and everything was spotlessly clean. You will feel spoiled with its cosy log fires and picturesque garden which includes a hot tub and seating area. There is plenty of parking next to the house and the immediate neighbourhood is quiet and peaceful. Its proximity to shops, pubs and restaurants is a bonus and we had great fun at Go Ape just minutes from the property

I could not find fault with anything about the Bield.

Location is very good for local amenities, beautiful walks 20mins walk to Go Ape through a lovely forest , lovely lochs for paddle boarding etc ,town centre 5mins down hill . Has everything in town Co op shop , bakery, post office, bars ,café, etc

My party of friends couldn't fault it there was 10 of us there for my 60th birthday
