The butterflies were a highlight and so was the view.

We enjoyed the remoteness and the fantastic views from the main cabin. Mark and Annabelle are welcoming and informative hosts. We had a great time!

Nothing to note but definitely ensure you have a 4x4 to get up the drive.

Anabelle and Mark, owners/founders built this place, settled on the top of a ‘mountain’ with superb views, to host students and professors studying the Pacuare nature reserve. Later on they decided to open up for tourists. It’s a very relaxed place with great hosts. We quickly felt at home and enjoyed the peaceful place. The longer you stay, the higher the appreciation. The combination of the environment, Mark y Anabelle (thanks for the great conversations) , the fantastic food in the evening, organizing a great rafting trip, visiting waterfalls & Turyalba, refreshing swimming pool and nature fulfilled all our needs and beyond! Therefore we gave it a 10.

Anabelle, Mark and Auxi were all lovely people. Auxi’s dinner was amazing. The lodge was beautiful.

Wifi connection weak.

The Bella Vista Ranch was our first stop on our round trip tour through Costa Rica. We were warmly welcomed by Mark and Anabelle and were accommodated in a small pretty bungalow with a view of nature and the smoking volcano. Everything was very clean and without uninvited visitors. : ) On request, Mark organized a great rafting tour with Ticos River Adventure on the Pacuare River for us. Highly recommended if you like pure nature and adventure. The food was also very tasty and typical of the country. A place to feel good. Pura Vida! Thanks to Mark and Anabelle.

The hosts were wonderful! It felt like staying at your cool Uncle & Aunt's :D They completely organized our rafting trip (Rio Pacuare), cooked dinner, prepared breakfast and were overall super welcoming and helpful. I can definitely recommend them and the beautiful place they call home. PS: Mark, you were right about the monkeys ;)

Mark is such a great host! we greatly enjoyed our stay… from the spectacular view, to the locally prepared diner… we stayed 2 nights and loved it! we will come back Mark!
