Tap's Home Away from Home

we didn't actually stay here. when we arrived (at the time we had stated in advance) no one was there to answer the gate, and we weren't even sure if the bell was connected to anything... we and also tried sending an SMS (we had no internet), and we asked a friendly neighbour to call (we had foreign phones) but neither worked. we waited for 45 minutes and, since it was getting dark, we decided we needed to make another plan - so we ended up staying at a different guesthouse nearby. to the credit of the property, when we were able to access internet, we did get an apology from the property telling us there had been an emergency and she had to go out... but since we did have a booking, leaving a note on the gate for an expected arrival shouldn't have been too much to ask...
