NA Volte Trulli e Quiete

The trulli are beautifully restored. It was clean and spacious.

There were lots of mosquitoes so we couldn’t enjoy the outdoor space as we had hoped. The kitchenette has only the most basic supplies, don’t plan on preparing a meal. Paolo was not at the property when we checked out even though it was during the check out hour so we just left the key in our unit, which meant going back and forth to open gate etc.

Beautiful location and a really beautiful Trulli. It was nice to stay here with a lovely swimming pool, free parking and a friendly host. The trulli is decorated with great eye of details.

It was a bit expensive, but on the other hand a great location and a great stay.

The Trulli has been converted to a very high standard, with three units of four people sharing the pool area, BBQ etc. It really is delightful and has been well thought out. Little touches, like beautifully hand embroidered bed linen and antique bits and bobs add to make it very homely. The village of San Marco is also a delight, with a friendly mini market, full of delicious local meats, cheeses, oils etc. Our daughter likes to cook, so she was very happy. My husband and I like the wine from Puglia, so we were very happy to find a wine producers shop in the village too. You do need a car to get into the local villages. Locorotonto and Alberobello are only 15/20 minutes away. Paulo the owner was always on hand for recommendations and made us very welcome. He also provided everything we needed for a bbq and cooking on olive wood made our steaks particularly tasty. The addition of the family’s grey mummy cat and her four kittens made it a very lovely and memorable stay.

There were no comfortable sun loungers or relaxing chairs around the pool area or in each property. The chairs around the pool are deck chair type and very uncomfortable. There were also not enough for each guest to use at the same time. We did ask Paulo if he had sun loungers and he kindly bought us two from his home. But still not enough for all four of us. A small thing, but it made a difference to us and it would have bought my rating up to 10/10. We bought a couple of blow up inflatables to sunbathe on.

Loved everything about staying in this historical trulli. Positioned approximately 4km from Locorotonda central, it's a nice distance from the hustle and bustle. But it's a close proximity to Alborobello. The trulli itself is magnificent with a beautiful pool area to relax. Paolo is a wonderful host, which is the icing on the cake.

There was nothing to dislike.

Beautifully decorated and furnished trullo that are spotlessly clean. Very close to Locorotondo, a beautiful village/town with lots of good local restaurants, and within easy reach of so many places; Alberobello, Monopoli, Ostuni. The pool is beautiful and always immaculately clean. Our guide told us the ppl in San Marco is known for being house & garden proud-and he is so right. Paulo was very helpful and showed us all the local places to eat. There is a mini market& pharmacy within 5 minutes walk for your bare necessities. On our last day, we got a good taste for the local community as there was a festival at San Marco, and we joined in. We had the best time!

There is nothing I don’t like. Points for improvement would be the hot plates in the kitchen. It takes ages to heat up anything and impossible to cook anything. This is important if the kitchen is the reason you choose a self-catering accommodation over a hotel, and need somewhere to cook the beautiful produce you just picked up from a local market. The WiFi was unstable, and non-existent on our second week. But there is enough mobile reception if you want to tether to your mobile data. I was told this was related to the hot weather.

The Trullo was a beautiful building to stay in and the location was quiet and ideal for travelling by car to places such as Locorotondo, Alberobello, Noci etc. We particularly enjoyed being in the village of San Marco and popping to the local store and cafe. The accommodation was clean and beautifully maintained.
