This property was everything!! It was so peaceful and so beautiful! It’s one of the best places we have ever stayed in! Thank you Jerome and Fidji for being fantastic host! Looking forward to staying again in the future!

２週間前にツアーを予約して、素敵なガイドを紹介してくれましたが、運転免許がなかったので、自分で運転することになりました。 運転はきらいではないですが、事前に知らせてほしかったです。

Beautiful location, really helpful hosts who kept everything clean,and arranged car hire and guides to show us the island. We were provided with recommendations of local places to eat, and which supermarket was the best, helping to make our stay easy and relaxing. Loved Rapa Nui, and Kona Koa lodge was a great find. Thank you so much.

We stayed here in February 2026 and greatly enjoyed it. The property is run by Jerome and his daughter Fidji - Jerome went out of his way to make sure we had not just a great stay, but a great vacation. First, he picked us up at the airport when we arrived, which took all of the guesswork out of working out how to get to the property. He rented us a car, and he connected us with a guide who planned all of our tours of the island's most important and iconic sites. The guide, Moana, has native Rapa Nui ancestry, and is deeply connected to the indigenous culture and its history, and also speaks the native language. Furthermore, her English is excellent, and she was a lovely person - intelligent, thoughtful, and knowledgeable. The tours were excellently designed so that we saw the most impressive sites last, which meant with each day, the wow factor got turned up another notch. The bungalow that we stayed was lovely, with an ocean view. It was very comfortable, and had a small kitchen so we could make meals when we wanted. It was also cleaned daily while we were out, which was very nice to come home to each day. After we checked out, because we had a late flight, Jerome let us keep the car longer, and then after we returned it, he drove us back to the airport. The personal touch really made a difference.

It didn't matter to us, as we rented a car, but if you stay here and don't have a car, it's a bit out of town, so going out in the evening will require transportation of some kind. You can walk to town (about 15 minutes) but I'm not sure I would recommend walking back in the dark. This is not intended as a negative, just to set expectations.

We had a nice stay in this cabin with beautiful views and a peaceful setting. Since it’s located away from town, having a car is necessary—we rented theirs upon arrival, and it was the best decision for getting to the restaurants. One thing to note is that our cabin (the large one with a loft) didn’t have a hairdryer, and due to the eco-lodge’s solar power, you can’t use one there even if you bring your own. We were able to use ours in another bungalow, so it wasn’t a problem—just something to be aware of.
