Hotel Wikingerhof

Das ganze Haus ist liebevoll gestaltet. Das Motto Wikinger findet sich bis ins Badezimmer wieder. Das Haus ist nur zu empfehlen. Die Kellner im Restaurant waren sehr aufmerksam trotz Silberhochzeit und Reisegesellschaft im Haus. So noch nie erlebt

Zum Abendessen, in diesem fall Schnitzel Wiener Art gab es eine Suppe gratis und auch eine Spirituose aufs Haus. Das gibt es heutzutage so gut wie gar nicht mehr. Ebenso war das Schnitzel eines der besten die ich je gegessen habe. Vielen Dank dafür.

When we arrived there was plenty of parking space. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. The room and bathroom were lovely and clean. There was a lovely garden with a big fish pond with a little bridge to access various tables.. The staff was serving in the garden and we could eat outside. In the evening we had a lovely barbecue. Breakfast in the morning was the best we had during our holiday, so was the bed. We would love to come back.

The breakfast was good. The hotel looks very nice. The front desk young lady was very nice as were the breakfast buffet staff. The shower was great! The walls are soundproof. Parking is free and close. There is a great German restaurant in the next town [Landgadthof moi].

The hotel is situated on a main through street. Because it does not have a/c, older hotels don't, you like to open the windows for the beautiful breeze. Unfortunately, the street car noise is loud for the front rooms, and even though the back part of the hotel has a lovely sitting area, the noise from guest dining and drinking is also quite loud for rooms in the back. And we were on the top floor. When the windows are closed, you can't hear anything. The room had glasses for water, but no bottled water was there. We apparently overpaid through Booking.com [about $200 a night]... way overpriced!
