The communication and welcoming messages from the owners were impeccable, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Boat Shed and immersing ourselves in the serenity of the area. After a late flight cancellation, Chris was empathetic and helpful in making our travel and weekend at Sandford, go as smoothly as possible. The location is sublime. With panoramic views of the bay, good walking trails and a cosy and comfortable cabin all to ourselves. A short commute in and our of Hobart is worth the drive, and we will definitely return. Chris, thank you so much for your hospitality and your kindness in sharing your piece of paradise. It has been devine.

It's all about Location Location Location. Amazing day and night.

The situation is tremendous, the appointments first class, quality and functionality are everywhere. Great vistas, comfy bed, lovely hot shower at days end. A magic holiday.

Loved the location, got everything what expected and more

We really liked the semi-rural private location with lots of surrounding land and peaceful water views. Being able to walk around the bushy foreshore and to a nearby beach was enjoyable. Close to several other beaches and lookouts in the South Arm peninsula which was useful for Aurora Australis chasing! The Boat Shed is simple with an open small lounge area and kitchen with breakfast table. The adjoining bedroom had a comfy bed and great view, wardrobes but not much floor space for traveller's bags. The combined bathroom and laundry was just large enough, clean and well equipped. A little over half an hour drive to Hobart city and several places to shop and eat within 15 mins drive.

Whilst the bathroom and kitchen bench top had been given a clean, it was not pleasant to have to sit on a very dusty sofa, lounge area and dining furniture. On arrival of our four day stay I requested a vacuum for the sofa hoping someone might come and do it for us but were just told the vac was in a cupboard. The inside of kitchen cupboards etc. hadn't seen a good clean for quite a while either. Change of ownership more recently may be the reason for difference to previous standards.
