Tanunda Cottages

We stayed in the winery cottage. Beautiful property and gardens. The actual building was well maintained and clean. Has really good air conditioning throughout the house. We loved the kitchen facilities. They had provided pod coffee, and cereal, toast, jam, bread and milk for our stay. The beds were very comfortable, and I loved the bathroom and shower.

The property was obviously aiming for an ‘old style’ furnishing options. However one of the dining chairs was falling apart, the couches were very uncomfortable so much that I started to get back pain so we couldn’t sit on them very long. The TV was extremely old (early 2000’s) but it was kind of nostalgic that they had an actual CD player with CD’s and a VCR! There was a small dvd player. I think it would be better to still have the old style furnishings but different couches so they are actually comfortable to sit on and with some modern technology included 😉 Also, as with some old houses, there were a lot of mosquitos that got in through a window that had glass panels so couldn’t completely close. We got bitten through out the night whilst sleeping which made for an uncomfortable, itchy next day of activities.

Beds were too soft, but we like firm beds, everyone is different. Lighting generally could be stronger

The cottage we stayed in was clean and tidy. Airconditioning throughout kept the property cosy. Outdoor grounds are spacious clean and kept.

The complimentary breakfast was superb. The overall comfort from the air conditioning was outstanding. The location is very central.

The presence of a washing machine and a dryer would be very welcome for people that are travelling away from home for an extended period.
