"Our Home Away from Home"

We loved the guesthouse, the breakfast was wonderful, more than what we expected and the location was convenient and so safe. We took a walk down the street to a local art gallery and had a wonderful time and always felt safe. I sat in the garden and took photos of the wonderful wildlife just meters away.

We would have liked to stay longer! Sarah and John were wonderful hosts and we really enjoyed our stay.

Sarah was great in communicating in advance and very helpful. The guest house is beautiful, especially the courtyard is a lovely place to rest. Room was big, clean and beautifully decorated. Comfortable bed and good breakfast!

Sarah and John are fantastic hosts. Lovely people. Breakfast is very good though a sausage would have been nice 😋. Lovely location central to everything. Clean well kept and a beautiful pool.

Wir hatten einen wirklich wunderschönen Aufenthalt im Newlands Guesthouse in Kapstadt. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir unsere Gastgeberin Sarah, die uns unglaublich herzlich empfangen hat. Vom ersten Moment an haben wir uns willkommen und gut aufgehoben gefühlt. Sie hat sich sehr liebevoll um uns gekümmert, uns jeden Morgen Frühstück gemacht und war jederzeit hilfsbereit sowie voller guter Tipps für unseren Aufenthalt. Die Unterkunft selbst ist eher klein und nicht mehr ganz neu, aber genau das hat auch einen gewissen Charme. Alles war sauber und ordentlich – auch wenn man hier und da merkt, dass das Haus schon etwas älter ist. Für uns stand jedoch die Atmosphäre im Vordergrund: persönlich, warm und sehr gastfreundlich. Wir haben uns fast wie zu Hause gefühlt. Wer großen Wert auf modernes Design und absolute Perfektion legt, findet vielleicht kleinere Kritikpunkte – für uns hat das Gesamtpaket aber absolut überzeugt. Vielen Dank, Sarah, für diese tolle Zeit – wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen!
