Hôtel Le d'Avaugour

Well, it was the longest 45 degree walk to reach the hotel, through Dinan from the river. It seemed to go on, but was a glimpse of a lovely medieval style town. The hotel was set on a lovely garden, where I enjoyed lunch. Only downside was you could not relax there with food or drink of your own. My room overlooked the square, and was fun on market day. I could walk or use the lift and it was clean and quiet. I was not happy to return one day, to find the front door locked, and a wait for the manager. Breakfast was fine, in a pleasant setting. I enjoyed the location and explored in all directions.

We were taken care of from the first minute of check in! Nicholas had "saved a spot" for our car, right out front of the hotel, as the next morning was the weekly Dinan Market just across the street and the large parking lot where we would have parked is the site of the wonderful market! They made dining reservations, left us messages, shared travel ideas and made us feel we were special guests. Our room was on the back and therefore quieter than the street -facing rooms. Weather was cooler so the lovely outdoor courtyard was not available for breakfast but we hope to return and will happily stay at the Hotel Le d'Avaugour. We also found the town of Dinan charming and the hotel is located right in the center of the action! Enjoy your time there, we did.

The hotel met all my best expectations. The staff were efficient and friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. A most enjoyable stay. Would recommend the hotel to anyone wanting to stay in the town

As I don't remember much, The hotel was just what was needed, clean, comfortable, efficient and the location was perfect. Loved the part of town that it was located in.Thank-you Hotel for being there.
