Beaufort House Inn

This is a lovely old Victorian home with original windows, doors and stairways. It’s beautifully maintained and restored.

A very small staff tried valiantly to provide services for the guests but it was frequently difficult to locate someone to assist or answer questions. My main problem with this stay was the breakfast! For me Bed n Breakfast includes a lovely hot breakfast with several if not ample choices. We were presented with a cold buffet- one choice of cold cereal, hard boiled eggs and toast or muffin. A basket with bananas rounded out the offering. At the very least a chafing dish of scrambled eggs should have been offered. I frequently stay at B n B establishments and have never been this disappointed with breakfast.

Beautiful house that retains all original features. The gardens are large and beautiful with lots of wildlife.

There is not much choice for breakfast. What is available is nice but there could be more choice.

This hotel feels you stay in a little castle, and the staff is so friendly and helpful.

Beautiful property that is very convenient to exploring Asheville. The hostess was very helpful, gracious, and friendly. The morning coffee and homemade granola were excellent.

The notes said that our room would be attended to on the second day if we were staying multiple days. We stayed three nights but didn't receive any room service, and began to run out of supplies. Somehow we hadn't realized that the property also had cottages. A little variety in the breakfast menu would be nice for those staying multiple nights.

Super clean tub - so comfortable for a soak! Booked the specific room for the claw foot tub, and it didn't disappoint. Sheets were extremely soft. Bed was incredibly comfortable (not too firm, perfect amount of blankets. Check in was very easy. Wood, stained glass, and art nouveau details of the house and the lovely wraparound porch with plenty of seating made this place such a treat to stay at.

Shower was super hot and then super cold - it was like the water was alternating. Creepy door to the roof was open - couldn't lock it. Just held some broken tiles, but it would have been nice if it had been sealed. No room temp control. Fine for an old house, but A/C was on when it was less than 60 degrees outside. There was a gas fireplace but no info on how to use it. "Hearty" breakfast is very basic continental - not filling at all. We had to go elsewhere to eat. Staff did not clear dishes or supply cutlery regularly enough at breakfast.
