Happy Home - Woodstock

Tina, our host was amazing. She really went out of her way to accommodate us and even lent us her own fan as it was VERY hot for a few days that we were there. The flat was laid out nicely but needs a bit of TLC. It had a nice outdoor area and a braai.

I don't know Cape Town very well, we come from a small town and I was travelling with my two daughters so I was very aware of safety...maybe a bit too concerned. The flat was situated opposite a car park where a homeless man and his daughter slept every night, I guess we are not used to this where we come from and it was concerning. One of the nights a woman was screaming ongoingly for some time. I am not sure if she was in the same complex as us or just near by...this was a bit worrying. The kitchen was very limited in terms of crockery, cutlery and pots etc. I would suggest a deep clean of headboards, carpets etc. There were cockroaches.

Staff personality and cleaness

Please improve your breakfast food. I can’t eat corn flakes the whole 5 days and pay that certain amount.

Quite place, clean, staff were smiling and caring

Nothing because we were forced to look for another accommodation since we could not sleep due to fleas. We requested for our refund but we're told that they will clean and fdumigate the place,still we were beaten on the same night and we left the very next morning to look for accommodation elsewhere

On our first day of checking in, the place had a stench of cigarette and didn't look clean, we were tired and slept,my son complained of the itching and small rush in his body, then we experienced the same and could even take a video and sent it to the reception lady, we demanded a refund for the 2 days that we were still left with but the lady promised that they will clean, change the bedding and fdumigate the place,we held to her promise and saw that the place looked cleaner when we came back to sleep. To our surprise it was a long sleepless night again odf being bitten and itching all over again,we sat at the lounge and noticed some cocroaches and wondered what was fumigated

Perfect location, easily accessible near the transportation route voortrekker road and plenty of shops nearby.
