Fabulous hotel luxuriously comfortable. Host very responsive nothing too much trouble

Very clean and comfortable property

Cosy little hotel located in an idyllic neighbourhood close to nature, with some open fields you can explore nearby, but also close enough to a tram station so you can get to Cologne in less than 30 minutes. The room I got had an outdoor area with a bench and a table to chill at. Late check in is available in the form of retrieving key to your room from the lockbox outside the main entrance (the one with the brochures). Check your mobile or bookings.com app for instructions to collect the key. The owner speaks English and is super nice. Great breakfast too. The owner even gave me a pair of crutches when she found out I had a leg injury prior to arrival.

No fridge in the room. If you have medications or other items that require refrigeration, be sure to talk to the hotel team when booking; The hotel is only staffed during the morning hours it seems, and some of the staff members only speak German while others only speak English so it gets confusing sometimes; Make sure your mobile works prior to arrival, as the hotel might send you check-in instructions via text messages in the event that bookings.com messaging stops working which happens sometimes. I missed mine because my mobile roaming service wasn't working.

Everything was perfect; great location in nature. Quiet and calm area. The property is very well maintained and clean, they worked on every detail. The breakfast is very good, the staff and host are very nice and helpful. One of the best places we have stayed, for this type of hotel.
