Wow, incredible standards of accommodation considering it’s at the bottom of a canyon. Stunning room with a brilliant view of the canyon wall. A huge bed and lovely balcony. Good hearty portions of food. A 3-course set lunch and 2-course dinner. The lodge kindly provided breakfast at 0530 too.

The price of the meals is a little more expensive than you might expect, but it is miles from anywhere.

Colobri Lodge vond ik een hele fijne comfortabele accommodatie. In deze basic omgeving voelde het enorm luxe. De bedden waren zeer comfortabel en een hele nette badkamer. Het eten was ook goed en ze houden rekening met vegetariërs. De familie die het runt is heel vriendelijk!

Coming here was like a warm bath. This family really understands hospitality. We felt very, very welcome. I thought I had booked a room with shared bathroom but we had a room with our own bathroom, which is always nice. The bed was enormous and very comfortable. The food was very taste and plenty. Colibri lodge is possible a bit more expensive than other options but for us it was worth every cent.

Shower was tepid rather than warm but nothing serious. We were very sorry we could stay longer
