Very friendly host, near to restaurant and distillery if cognac

Très belle suite pour 2 personnes et un enfant. Jolis extérieurs avec piscine. Parking facile.

Wir trafen auf überaus freundliche und zuvorkommende Hotelbesitzer. Der Service war ausgezeichnet, stets sauberer Pool, saubere Handtücher. Die Buchungen von Ausflügen und Restaurantbesuchen übernahm die nette Hotelbesitzerin.

Half way from Roscoff to south of France , we made totally random stop near Cognac ( would like to go back there to do brandy tour). The hotel looked nice enough via photos etc and didn’t disappoint . On the backroads You drive through countless villages and see so many shuttered stone buildings and wonder what they are like inside. L’Adelie is a chance to see inside one! It’s a beautifully restored building and has oodles of features. The room was perfectly suitable for us and the Owner lady was very hospitable ... we managed well with our rusty French . She made us a reservation at a very nice nearby restaurant (les copains d’abord) where the hosts were just as friendly and a good fixed priced menu. In the morning she prepared a lovely breakfast and even helped see us out safely onto the road from their secure parking ( where there was also a bbq and pool area for the summer). I would very happily stay there again if ever we pass.
