"A lovely comfortable stay."

10.0

Quiet location, very clean and comfortable. Although our stay was in June it was very cold and the heating had been put on in advance of our arrival. Easy access and parking right outside. Great location for visiting Glyndebourne, we have stayed here before and hope to again next year.

"A Hiker's Rest"

8.0

This was a stop along the South Downs Way in a small cabin called- appropriately the Hiker's Rest! It is part of an ancient former pub in a very attractive village called Alciston (not Selmeston as listed in booking.com). The cabin was spotless and had everything for a very comfortable stay and was obviously recently upgraded with a comfortable bed, good lighting, tea-making and a roomy shower room. There was a nice view of the back garden from the bed and it was quiet. A lovely cooked breakfast was served in the former pub which prepared me for the last day walking the Seven Sisters and Beachy Haed to Eastbourne

Despite the host's help, I could not get wifi in the room. The shower cubicle was too small.
