The location was good, with a nice view of Shoal Bay and within walking distance from town.

The place did not have linens, towels, or toilet paper. I was actually quite shocked upon arrival, we had to buy all of these items at our own expense from kmart and woolworths which made the trip a lot more expensive then we had originally planned. The kitchen was breaking apart, we tried opening the oven once and it was faulty. It was truly disappointing to go into a hotel we had paid for an not have basic necessities provided. I have booked through booking.com in the past for affordable stays but have never experience no linens, towels or toilet paper. The beds did not have fitted sheets and were bare mattresses with just a duvet on top- this was a hygiene concern. It appears alot of appliances need to be replaced or maintained, the bedside lamp in the large room was broken and loosely put back together, the cupboards were filled with random items (potentially from other people who stay) alot of it appears to be used and unwashed. I truly think this property needs to be inspected, it was unhygienic and barely maintained. Really disappointing for a trip I had taken a flight from Brisbane for.

Pool

We absolutely love the location, pool, and amazing views. Seemed to be lower priced than most other private properties in the area with a view and lovely pool.

The apartment is dated, which is ok by us, but there are mouldy curtains in the master bedroom. Guests should bring all their own linen and towels. There are some there, but they are so old and grubby that it would be better if they just removed or replaced them. Owners have a lot of junk in (and ON) cupboards (broken blinds, etc). Just as I reviewed last November, the ironing board cover is putrid. We went to Kmart and purchased our own cover and travel iron. $17.50 for both! The beds are super comfortable but old and also a bit grubby. Lounges are old and not overly comfy. Wouldn't bother with the sofa bed (ouch). The ceiling fan in the master bedroom doesn't work properly, but there is a pedestal fan. We contacted the agent for another as it was 40 deg when we stayed. They delivered one quickly! Vacuum cleaner is broken, so if you plan to stay a while, you would need to contact housekeeping to do your floors. No air con or wifi either. The garage will only fit a very small car as it is super low. The apartment just needs a bit of minor TLC to bring the comfort factor up. We happily brought all of our own comforts to help with these issues, and probably would again, but if that isn't your jam, I would avoid this apartment..

Location

No rooms in the cupboards to store your own clothes, actually a real mess in those cupboards. No keys for the balcony given , results that I need it to call your office and the staff make me feel like I was the one not knowing what I was doing . Kitchen crockery old and poorly maintained. Bunk beds blanket from another century and charged $90 for linen !!! Shame I can’t attached more pictures. Most of the door need to be repainted. Poorly maintained

There were junky things in some of storage areas/closets etc. Some of the furnishings are delaminating and wearing out

the location was absolutely perfect - the view was incredible and the pool was so lovely.

the only bad thing about this property is the bedrooms get very warm on hot days like we have been having, especially the rooms with the bunk beds.

The view was incredible, and the pool a treat. The bed in the master bedroom was super comfy, and we loved having a garage. Such a great price for what we received.

Minor, but the ironing board cover could really use an update. If you are visiting for a wedding or special event and need to iron good clothing, it is certainly not up to scratch. Very grubby. We didn't need to use the fold out bed in the loungeroom however, pulled it out to watch a movie. It was beyond uncomfortable and wouldn't suit additional guests if they wanted a decent, comfortable sleep.
