Castaways Unit 8 17 Shoal Bay Road

Location and view was unrivaled in Unit 8.

No linen or towels were provided for our stay which was unacceptable. I was told that this had to be requested at the time of booking but can not find where this option was. I would think that this would be a prominent option when booking to ensure that this sort of mishap would not occur. Or the fact that the booking agent spoke to me 4 times prior to my stay and not once brought attention to the fact. No help was provided to remedy the situation by the staff at all which was extremely poor.

Great view and location.

No issue with stairs and dated 60s decor given the view and location. HOWEVER, if there is no air conditioning available then ceiling fans are an absolute must! Especially in the bedrooms where the windows are locked to only open 10cm wide, the heat of the bedrooms in summer is bordering negligent especially with kids.

I loved the quiet serenity and sunny balcony looking at the beach. More than one parking bay for this unit . Quiet block of eight units . Easy enough walk to the Country Club, cafes and friendly shopping village .

No linen or towels provided . We were 7 adults and 1 child . Sharing one toilet and seperate bathroom required organisation . It’s a climb up 29 stairs if that might concern you however worth it to our group for the gorgeous beach view across the road .

The only good thing about this accommodation is that there was a good view and was close to the pub so you could drink to forget how awful the apartment was.

This was the dirtiest apartment I’ve ever booked. The linen provided had multiple suspicious stains and I don’t think it’s ever seen a washing machine. When a place says linen provided, you expect to have towels at least. Drying yourself with yesterdays tee shirt is not how I wanted to start my weekend.
