Hotel Elida

The friendliness and helpfulness of the family and the lovely flowers and bushes around the property

I would have preferred a different shower, the one in my room was a hand held one with no bracket on the wall for making it easier to use. The lane down to the Elida was fine during the day but very dark at the top of it from the main road at night.

Located on quiet rural street. Short easy walk to the beach at one end of the road, shops and good assortment of good restaurants a short walk at the other end of the road. Owner Manos was very helpful and carried out luggage to and from our room up one flight of stairs

Room was very hot. Air conditioning available at extra cost. He forgot to offer and we forgot to ask. We were only booked for two nights so managed

Nice and big room, very clean, with helping and nice owner. There is a pool and small bar in the hotel. Everything was ok, cleaning and change of towels regular. It's close to the beach and to shops (big supermarket nearby and whole street of turistic shops) and tavernas. There is a public transportation available and it's not so far from Rethymno (very long walk if you prefer to walk).

Just as a precaution - remember that it's very turistic place (for some it's better for some it's worse). And be careful if you go by car - street to hotel is very narrow and not always you'll find a place to park in front of the hotel (if you're a good driver it's not a problem at all).

Amazing place. Right next to the beach. Superfriendly owner that helps out with everything. Clean and god sized pool.
