Hotel Holiday Hill

We went for this hotel post looking at lot of online reviews. The hotel is at a great height so the view from the room is spectacular. We booked the Superior room with Balcony. Staff was quite cooperative. Dalai lama temple, main market area are 10-15 min walk from the hotel. You can even get 2 wheeler rental just nearby so that you can explore the place at your convenience. Overall a wonderful experience. Note - We went in October so weather was pleasant but in case you visit in winter season you may need room heater which is charged extra (Rs. 400 per day)

I booked this hotel after reading the hotel's reviews. I boked a partial mountain view room but to my surprise they upgraded me to a fully mountain view room. The views from Balcony were amazing. The location of the property is just wonderful, dalai lama temple and main market is just 05 minute walk from the hotel, however 05 minute walk would feel like a 15 minutes walk due to the Hill roads. Food at the hotel is well within the normal rates.

I liked the food and view from the restaurant but the room and washroom was terrible. It was stinky and unhygienic.

It was a truly amazing stay at holiday hill. Small hotel big heart. 1.The view from the room was just too good to be true. 2.Even more spellbinding was the morning breakfast at the rooftop restaurant 3.The owner Showkat and his team were exceptional. 4.The food was good , especially the breakfast. 5.It was a 10 minute walk to the main centre.A bit uphill ,but that's what a hill station is about. A very nice quaint Japanese restaurant nearby serving good vegetable delicacies. Overall a wonderful experience and kudos to the owner and his prompt staff.

room was nice, comfortable and cozy. basic amenities were there. parking area available. view from the room was nice. we took balcony room on the first floor. staff was cooperative. I personally did not like the food (ordered dinner from there).

We stayed here for a night and were impressed with the service and quality of rooms and bathrooms. They have parking space in front of the hotel, however the road up the hill is tricky and some good driving skills are needed to reach the hotel. Most hotels in McLedoganj are situated in this area anyways. The shopping area is 10 mins walk from the hotel. The hotel person arranged 2 wheelers for us to go sight seeing at a reasonable price. Would recommend to go sightseeing on bikes since the roads are narrow and you could be stuck in traffic if you go around by car. A good place to stay if you are willing to ignore the adventurous road to the hotel.

We stayed in this hotel first they putted a heater without a plug socket which was very risky later when they changed in they putted it near bed which caused damage to there quilt. They charged me for there mistake I paid 3000 for which they did not even gave a bill. We asked the receptionist that we want to talk to the owner but he did not let us talk.

Staff were truly wonderful despite some language barriers but always willing to help. Manager was so helpful to me , and kind , allowing me use his phone to call home (NZ) as I was not able to use my own phone at the time. Views from my room were amazing. Would not hesitate to recommend this hotel for others on a budget.

The hotel manager is efficient and very friendly. He knows how to assist your needs. The staffs are thoughtful in handling the luggage. All in all the room is clean and comes with a great view. I will come back again!

The setting and view were marvelous. The staff were very helpful!
