"A nice place, not 5 star."

Beautiful setting. Lovely old building. Our room was well laid out, clean and comfortable.

The interior needs some love to be a 5 star venue. Damp in the entrance, floor coming up in the dining room, furniture in communal spaces tired and some dirty.

"Beautiful retreat."

The location was stunning.The bed was luxurious and big and very comfortable. The room had a wonderful view,. The breakfast my husband had he said was tasty.

Silly little things,the soaps are very hard to open.A soap dispenser would be easier. At breakfast the jars for the jam looked very well used. Lack of choice at breakfast if you don't eat eggs. Maybe offer marmite or cheese for toast.only jam available. The taps on the downstairs toilet need instructions to use. The receptionist was a bit sullen and short in her answers.
