May Beach Hotel

For me this hotel was practically perfect. It somehow blended the feel of a resort and a villa or homestay. Dinner feels like a generous home cooked meal. It's a buffet but curated and cohesive. There aren't endless options and there aren't any chicken nuggets or pizzas. Fussy eaters beware but I respected the celebration of local cuisine. The grounds are pretty and well kept. In May it felt quiet and peaceful. There was always a large choice of sun loungers round the pool and often my kids had the pool to themselves. There is ping-pong and tennis and giant chess. All free and all available. If you have toddlers the baby pool is wonderful. Surrounded by shade, 2 water slides, toys and most importantly entirely visible from the side. My kids are 7 and 9 but we all loved hanging out here! Staff are generally very friendly especially the lovely Aphrodite. It felt like a family run business; you see the same faces every day. We hired a car and went out most days as there is so much to see in Crete so half board worked perfectly. There is a supermarket over the road to pick up a picnic. Parking is free and easy. I would wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to families who want a comfortable base in a fantastic location. It's excellent value for money and has everything you need without being showy.

They did have a strange policy about beach towels. Despite being happy to change room towels daily, they insisted that you keep them for 3 days. If I'm being really picky I would have liked more dessert options at dinner!

Όλα ήταν τέλεια στην διαμονή μας. Το προσωπικό πολύ εξυπηρετικό και πάντα με το χαμόγελο να σε εξυπηρετήσουν σε όλα. Καθαρά δωμάτια και πολύ ωραίος περιβάλλοντας χώρος του ξενοδοχείου με με μια έξτρα ακόμα παιδική πισίνα με δύο τσουλήθρες όπου ο μικρός μας πέρασε υπέροχα.

Superbe hôtel, le cadre est très sympa. L'accueil est sympathique, en français ce qui facilite la compréhension. Facile pour se garer. Tout le personnel est agréable et souriant. On a adoré les petites activités disponibles, échecs géant, fléchettes, ping pong et salle de sport. Le petit déjeuner est très varié et propose un large choix d'alimentation. J'ai adoré les crêpes fraîches et encore chaudes. La piscine est également très agréable. La chambre est spacieuse et très moderne.

La salle de sport manque un peu d'équipements mais ça reste correct. La première nuit était un peu bruyante mais on a compris très vite la raison et on a rectifié sur la deuxième nuit : la porte donnant sur l'extérieur côté rue était resté ouverte.

Le parc arboré, la proximité de la plage, la piscine belle et propre, le restaurant le soir en formule demi-pension. Le personnel est très gentil.

Fantastic staff, very friendly and accommodating, great sized bedrooms, lots of outdoor activities, excellent hotel for families with children.

Bathroom was very small, but functional. No tea/coffee facilities in the room.

Jednoznačne kompetentný a priateľský personál. Hotel vôbec nepôsobí veľko, zachováva si kompaktnosť. Kvalita jedla počas raňajok,obedu i večere bola veľmi dobrá. Miesto je super. Kvalita i rýchlosť Wifi bez problémov. Parkovanie priamo vedľa hotela.

Pri takejto (vysokej) kvalite hotela by som odporučil mať (aj v rámci all inclusive), ale najmä pri raňajkách riadnu zrnkovú kávu (espresso).

. A személyzet és a tulajdonos hölgy is nagyon figyelmes volt. Az ételek nagyon finomak voltak . Kérésre a haza utazásunk napján lunch csomag várt bennünket hajnalban a recepción . A medence és a környéke kellemes hely a pihenéshez . Jól éreztük magunkat ! Köszönjük szépen !

Que ce soit proche de Rethymno et de la plage. Proche d'une ville pour manger et faire des courses à pied.
