Aaira Suites at 1 York St

This property wasn’t cleaned properly , it took forever to get check in instructions, there were stains on the door and unfinished patches on the wall ! The owner came to us unannounced asking for payment for parking .. we were fine with paying for the spot but would of liked notice ! Very unimpressed! Will not be staying here again

The location was the only thing we enjoyed about this property... We have booked apartments in Toronto many times in the last few years and expected this one to go just fine as well, however just to get instructions on what to do when we arrive wasn’t easy sent messages through Expedia multiple time and was not responded to until texting the day we were travelling so it was very uneasy to start travelling and not knowing things like nearest parking, what to do when we arrive at the building. Once we arrived and figured out the instructions we were okay just frustrated it was such a hassle . Once getting into the apartment we noticed the front door had stains on it , in the washroom holes that were poorly patched and not completed, the towel rack was missing , the kitchen well for starters we didn’t understand the set up at all the couch was right where the counter and stove was so we didn’t have much access had we wanted to cook. We then noticed more unfinished patches, the windows were not cleaned, the blinds were broken as well as couldn’t shut one of the windows, the bedroom door was also broken. We were very disappointed in the appearance of the place seeing as we did pay a good amount for it. We did like that there was parking in the building and we understood at an extra cost and we were okay with that, we weren’t okay with who we assume to be the owner coming over and demanding payment without explaining who she is we thought that was very rude

Unit 7005 The property is fairly high-end, great views. The security staff gave me grief when asking for directions to the elevator and didn't want me to get in because I was a short term rental. It took quite a bit of convincing to get him to show me the way to the elevator, which is quite hidden. Pay attention to where the elevators are, you can't find them easily. The apartment was nice but walls were marked up, dirty, damaged and need cleaning and/or a coat of paint. The bed in this unit was very very hard. Due to the unclean walls and damage, it made me feel like I needed to clean the whole place before it would be "clean". Great central location but definitely didn't feel like a hotel.

Great unit, in upcoming location downtown toronto. Unit was clean and the host was welcoming and on time
